PrestaShop is now available on Microsoft’s Azure Marketplace

PrestaShop is always looking for ways to improve store performance for our merchants. To that end, we’re proud to announce a new partnership with Microsoft that makes PrestaShop available worldwide on the Microsoft Azure Cloud.

So what’s all the hype about? Technically it means that you can get PrestaShop on the Microsoft Azure Marketplace in a pre-configured multi-VM infrastructure that’s deployed automatically and ready for production. Whether you’re a merchant preparing to launch your store or an agency looking for a powerful solution, PrestaShop and Azure have scalable options to meet your needs. Several pre-defined architectures have been developed, and others will be available in the coming weeks.

This partnership offers a new way for merchants to grow their online store by combining the best of the Microsoft and PrestaShop ecosystems. Together, Microsoft and PrestaShop can offer a flexible, global solution with optimized performance for growing ecommerce businesses.

“Working with Microsoft Azure and PrestaShop has allowed us to build one of the most advanced cross-channel ecommerce platforms in the French Football League,” says Jean-Arnaud Eyme, Head of CRM and Digital UX, at Olympique Lyonnais.

“Microsoft and PrestaShop believe in the importance of making advanced technology available to all businesses, regardless of size. We also share a localized approach to tackling global challenges, and believe in the importance of community,” says Jean-François Gomez, Business Development Manager, Microsoft.

Microsoft Azure

So what exactly is Azure? It’s Microsoft’s cloud solution, a platform that supports both open source and proprietary software, and benefits from powerful Microsoft-operated data centers around the world. Small or large, PrestaShop stores can now be deployed within the Azure ecosystem in just a few clicks. Thousands of users, including French online retail giant Cdiscount currently benefit from Azure’s stable and scalable global solution.

Scalability & Availability

Ecommerce merchants know that online business is subject to seasonal peaks and valleys, with traffic increasing during holiday sales seasons and special events. Azure’s infrastructure allows PrestaShop stores to scale to meet increased demand during those high traffic periods–and lets them scale back down after the rush is over. Azure is particularly relevant for merchants who are ready to scale their business internationally–it operates in 140 countries worldwide and is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

New Addons

Our partnership with Microsoft will provide the PrestaShop community with even more ways to grow online sales. Our R&D teams are hard at work developing new Addons for Dynamics AX, O365, and some highly innovative Addons based on AI and Machine learning. Merchants who already use other Microsoft products will also benefit from increased compatibility. Stay tuned for some very exciting product announcements!
