A place in France is one e-commerce website that’s not like the others. For starters, it’s a unique gateway to the French real-estate market that allows potential buyers to filter the most important characteristics of a property such as sunlight, condition, price, location, etc…

Each property advertisement listed is translated in eight different languages, and they are grouped according to a wide range of innovative search criteria.

The site is well-designed, and the number of clicks needed to find exactly what your are looking for has been minimized. The search menu and the site navigation (in particular the quick view function) are also extremely well-developed.

You can use faceted browsing to refine search results by combining focused searches like  “house in the country, heated floor, sea view and maximum number of hours of sunlight.”

This site uses a group of functions first developed for a client by Paul Manesco, Director of Web Development at Innoa, and his team. This module is now available to all e-businesses on PrestaShop Addons, so now everyone can use PrestaShop to manage a collection of small ads!

So how does this Small Ads module (‘Petites Annonces’, in French) work ?

"

It’s easy! Site users register and complete their ads, and the agent approves them from the Back Office, an automatic email is sent to the user telling them that their ad is online. The agent can then manage the content easily from their client account.

E-businesses continue to benefit from the variety of PrestaShop modules (like the improved zoom)!

This module is currently being tweaked in order to make it even better! An updated version will be available sometime next month!

Talk about fruitful! Manesco is very satisfied with his PrestaShop partnership, saying “PrestaShop is highly flexible, whether you’re talking applications (modules) or graphic design (themes). PrestaShop allows developers to overload classes and operators in a way that guarantees the development of future versions.”

He’s also happy about the daily improvements that PrestaShop is making, “whether in mobile applications or the way that the Petites Annonces solution is compatible with all existing PrestaShop modules.”

Would you like to start your own small ads site? Or maybe you have an idea for a module? Don’t put it off, download PrestaShop today!
