We are proud to announce that our first “Community Day” was held yesterday, Thursday, March 18th in Paris.
We gathered for the occasion 15 profiles of all backgrounds:
- 4 merchants
- 4 developers (Gold partner agencies)
- 5 developers from our community
- 2 webdesigners
The main objective was to exchange about PrestaShop with qualitative and constructive feedback. Many topics were discussed during the day (Back-office, Front office, community, modules …), and the exchanges were very successful
The day started so friendly with a breakfast between the participants and the PrestaShop Team. During the morning, the debate has focused on the PrestaShop Company and the development of a web service that would facilitate interaction with external actors to PrestaShop.
At noon, our pizzaiolo neighbor has made us so happy with 15 great pizzas to share together! Exchange of point of view and business cards, and again a lot of good ideas fusing Before resuming work, tasting homemade cakes to give us strength!
During the afternoon, two working groups were formed: one group with merchants and a second one with more technical profiles.
20 main ideas proposed by these two groups were selected and will be gradually integrated into PrestaShop, keep attentive!
Thanks: Pierre-Yves, Christian, Nicolas, Paulo, Jean-Bruno, Julien, Tomasz, Thomas, David, Benoit, Colin, Christophe and Antonin for this day spent with us!
We will renew the operation soon, so stay tuned and let us know if you want to participate (15 participants max per meeting).
If you want to join the PrestaShop Team, or contribute to our projet, this is now!
PrestaStore is hiring
To support the development of its PrestaStore marketplace, PrestaShop is seeking a trainee in LAMP development.
You will be responsible for functional and technical validation (search for malicious code) in modules offered by the community and the development of new modules for PrestaShop. A perfect knowledge of object-oriented PHP 5 and MySQL is of course essential.
We are looking for Translations Managers
Our online translation tool developments are well advanced and we are now looking for translations managers, which role will be to validate the contributions made by members of the community through this tool.
Some managers are already in action for German, French, Danish, Chinese and Russian.
If you want to contribute to PrestaShop managing translations available in your language, please write us, we will consider each application!
This week, the PrestaStore team offers a free module : “Catalog Checkup”!
This module enables you to identify strengths and weaknesses of your products catalog, and gives you a real-time qualitative evaluation of your catalog: images number, descriptions content, number of sales, stock, for each product in your store!
Developed by the PrestaShop team, it is compatible with versions 1.2 and higher of the solution. “Catalog Checkup” is available for free on PrestaStore, do not wait any longer to download it!
If you customize your store for Easter, you could be the shop of the week in our April 1st newsletter!
You can submit your shop in our forum. Our team will vote to elect the best customized e-shop for the occasion, and present it in our newsletter, sent to our entire community.
