Hi,
please, I need to know, how I can specify Order statuses, by which quantity purchased is deducted from the quantity in stock and Order statuses, by which quantity puschased is NOT deducted from the quantity in stock so far..

Example:
If customer make an order and choose “Bank wire transfer”, quantity purchased should not be deducted till I change order status to shipping, delivered, etc,..

Hi there,

Back Office >> Orders >> Order statuses

For each Order status you can determine whether or not this status should “Consider the associated order as validated”, for example.

In your example, the problem with not deducting quantity after a bank wire or a cheque etc. is that customers might end up ordering the same item when Quantity is 1, creating shipping, payment, and customer-relation headaches.

I can see, however, the logic in preferring not to deduce the quantity with certain payment methods. It might be best to leave the choice up to the shop owner? Perhaps in a future version of PrestaShop we can make this an option….

Hi, I think so. Please would you be so kind and tell me how can I adjust it temporarily till you leave there a choice? In my case, for my purposes (and maybe for purposes of many others) it is important to deduct the quantity from stock after the goods leave my stock, that means after I send it to a customer and change status to “Shipping”, “Delivered”,…

Thank you.

According to Philippe, the lead developer on the software, there is no easy work-around for this. It has to be changed in the core, and the dev team has no time right now to develop this extra functionality.

However, I have added it to our to-do feature list for future development. smile

Hello,
Is there a bug with “Consider the associated order as validated” ?
I set my bank wire order status to have the “Consider the associated order as validated” unchecked which should me that orders on this status are not validated
However, if I make an order and select to pay with bank wire, the products quantity is reduced.

What am I missing?
What is “Consider the associated order as validated” supposed to do?
Thank-you

There are several changes in core needed to achieve that quantities are reduced when you want :(
