  1. OK...will think about it over the Christmas break. Thanks Dave
  2. Hi Guys Thanks for all your help....fast too. Just went into settings and notice PayPal module had somehow got into sandbox mode, removed this and all seems to be working. It must have been a complete coincidence with my customer yesterday. So I guess this issue is now solved...but finally... is it difficult to upgrade from 1.2.5.0 to latest? Thanks Dave
  3. Hi I had an email about a month ago (see copy below)saying that I will need to update my prestashop Paypal module in order for it to keep working. I didn't know if it was applicable to v1.2.5.0 so just ignored it....but yesterday a customer phoned to say they were having difficulty in paying with PayPal. I tried myself using my [spam-filter]'s Paypal account to place an order through my shop and again it would not work. I then tried to upgrade Paypal module in my shop but nothing happens....so I assume I will have to upgrade my prestashop version in order to apply the Paypal updates. Am I thinking wrong? Thanks Dave Since the SSL v3 issue (also known as POODLE) was identified on October 14, PayPal has decided to completely disable SSL 3.0 support at 12:01 a.m. Pacific Standard Time on December 3, 2014. POODLE is an internet security vulnerability that impacts the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) 3.0 protocol, which was designed to ensure secure connections when surfing on the Internet. As a consequence all PayPal merchant customers using PrestaShop need to update their PayPal integration by upgrading their PayPal module on PrestaShop before December 3rd, 2014 in order to disable SSL 3.0 for their client interactions. If you do not upgrade your PayPal module on PrestaShop by this date, you may face interruptions to your ability to accept payments with PayPal. To make sure your integration is protected against this vulnerability and to keep accepting PayPal payments beyond this date, you need to upgrade your PayPal module to version 3.8.0 by following these steps: Users of version 1.5 and 1.6 of PrestaShop Go to PrestaShop back office in the list of modules installed Click on the « Update it » button next to PayPal module If this button doesn’t appear, please follow the same steps as the ones described below for “users of version 1.4 de PrestaShop”
  4. Hi I know the current Paypal upgrade is not compatible with my 1.2.5.0 shop, but I need to upgrade my prestashop version as it now will not accept Paypal payments. Thanks Dave
  5. Hi I am new to the forum, I set my shop up many years ago now on v. 1.2.5.0 and it works great. However, due to the new PayPal upgrades I now have to upgrade my level of Prestashop. Question (apologies if this has been covered recently but cant find anything) but can I go from 1.2.5.0 to the latest version in one go? and if so is it a difficult process? If it is a problem is there any reputable consultants/engineers that can do the upgrade for me for a fee? My site is very simple www.kwikchip.net Thanks Dave
