Hello Elpatron, I apologize as I should have been more clear. I did research this before and I have tried all those options. I currently use force compilation. I have cleared the cache both from the back office and from the browser. Just a note : when I clear the cache, often, the website shows up with exception error pages. which I dt get why... Is there another possibility as to why it wouldn't work? I must honestly be doing something wrong.

Well, let me explain. It's because I had added this before : body, #page, header, .columns-container { background: #FFF url('../img/christmas-04.png')!important; } and it never changed to the picture I was trying to test with. There's just a few things I dt get. How do I know what to change and where ? I have tried to make changes to the body but that never worked out. How are you troubleshooting this? I have google chrome. I removed those lines. Main container is now black. Also there is another thing that's bothering me. If you go down to the last ''line'' of products and you hover over it, the product box goes over the below pictures - if you dt see that, I will send you a screenshot. How do I fix that ?

Hey, So this is a start. I changed it to black - in hex - but take a look at the result. Is hex not accepted? I modified this : .columns-container { background: white; } to this: .columns-container { background: #000000; }

Hello all, After the many posts I have put on the forum. I still have no reponse from anyone. I have a new problem. I am trying to upload a new image as my background for my webpage. I added to global.css the following lines body, #page, header, .columns-container { background: #FFF url('../img/christmas-04.png')!important; } Of course, I uploaded the picture in the img directory. but NOTHING. I had tried changing the color before trying to change the image. No changes as well. anyone?

Hi everyone, Honestly, I do not know what is going on. All the modules that I install, don't show up in my front end. No changes occur. Modules are hooked and have images created for them. For example, the advertising block is configured - I added an image and everything - it's hooked to the displayleftcolumn but it's nowhere to be found on the website What would I be doing wrong?

Are you talking about the fact you added categories but they are not showing up in your module? or the fact the module is not showing up at all?

Hello, I have a question about modules and how they work with the website. I will give you an example first. I have an advertising module. It's configured. I even added an image and it tells me " The settings have been successfully updated. " . I cannot however see this module anywhere in the website. I tried checking " view page source " and searched the div. It isn't there. Should I attach it to a hook? How do I add it to the website? It is the case for a few modules. Thank you in advance.

I am talking about the top horizontal menu. I use the default bootstrap theme on prestashop 1.6.0.8 I am attaching pictures so I am more clear. I would like to change the background of sub categories - it's currently grey and i would like to put it to transparent so that it follows the background, or simply put it to white. ----> subcategories background.png The images I put in subcategories do not fill the rectangle. How do I make it fill? ----> same image In a category, I am trying to change the image and it's not changing. I cleared the cache, went under img/c and deleted them manually. but still, every time I upload a new pic, the old one appears. ----> I found the solution to the problem. For anyone that is interested, it was the smarty cache that was never compiling. By going to Advanced parameters -> performance -> recompile templates if files have been updated, it did the trick. I would like to add small thumbnails beside each category just like ebay does. I added the thumbnail, but it doesn't appear anywhere. Thoughts on how to do it? --> men thumbnail and men thumbnail result The subcategories block that appear when you hover a category goes all the way to the end of the block to the right - there is alot of unused white space to the right . Is there a way to get rid of that? --> Look at men thumbnail result and see how the dropdown extends all the way? I would like to reduce that to size of the number of subcategories that exist. I am adding a couple of questions as well. I would like to change the fond of the whole website - mainly for now the top horizontal block. Do I have to change it in the css associated with it only? If yes, what is the file that I have to modify? I have a translation issue. I have on my website french and english. and when I put english, there is one block that doesn't translate - although I have the newest language pack. Thoughts? --> translation.png
