  1. the hardest part of starting an eCommerce site is not the design or the script (for instance Prestashop made life easier for all of us) but is "spreading the word". we can pay adwords a small fortune to get some clients, or try to build links to our site. the easier is to pay, is available right away, just needs cash. the hardest is to create links (backlinks) to us. which can be anything from guest posts, articles, social media,... just don't forget, most people use google for searches nowadays and that google was founded on the backlink rating strategy. they still haven't paid that much atenction to social media as opposed to backlinks.
  2. or create a module that hooks to product changing quantity, when it reaches 0, deactivate the product.
  3. Hi, I'm also getting "Google API Authorization granted but access token cannot be retrieved" in www.puntosex.es It would be great if this started working properly. Prestashop team should tryy and make a better tutorial and explain were to get all the values and solution for the error we might get. Thanks
  4. The problem is that most of the newer designs don't use that much text. The new themes focuses on social networks, images, and being responsive. And that's what a customer also likes, thinking as a customer in other shops. Google favors more text percentage over responsive and other functions. That's why many blogs and articles have better position in serp than some shops. You could use bigger descriptions. But, in the front page, how do you make it appealing with all that text? Its a question i also would like to have an answer.
  5. if you want to use some statistics, or have a lot of products, i think that won't be enough. Also, test for speed. Prestashop uses a lot of sql. If the server is slow, your shop will be slow.
  7. In my website my link is different. Something like "javascript:showOrder(1, 50, 'http://www.puntosex.es/pt/index.php?controller=order-detail')" Then when i click, it opens in same page at the bottom, the order details. If you try to place an order, can you get to the confirmation page (last before placing the order)?
  11. Thanks for the module. I was looking for something like this. But wouldn't be usefull to do the same for the index? Thanks again.
  13. Our store, www.puntosex.es, uses nginx, but it was hostgator how took care of everything in the webserver. In prestashop, we didn't made any alterations.
  14. I added to the header.tpl the link rel="author" and link rel="Publisher" with the href to my profile. Which is best?
  15. If there is no error in error_log, it's difficult to debug. This happens when you click you go the front office, logged in, go to the order history and click on a order to get the details?
