    The problem was solved incredibly quickly by webdev0008. What awesome work. Issue was with code in .htaaccess and he also fix other slight code issues for only $40 usd. Incredible price, and a big relief. This is a good guy to hire for anything, will be working with him on other projects in the future, I am certain of it.

    Yes you cannot add products to the cart when the cart block is enabled. The redirect is because I want /new products to be the home page. I dont see how that would be effecting this. It seems to me to be some kinda of database issue. Others have suggested that is developing because of server performance problems. and I added the cart block back to show that error as well to someone else.

    Hello there, this is my site: www.headyglasspieces.com I am experiencing an error: TECHNICAL ERROR: unable to save update quantity Details: Error thrown: [object Object] Text status: parsererror when attempting to change the quantity or delete items from the cart. I also experience this error when adding items to the cart if the cart block is enabled: (opens in a preview window) Impossible to add the product to the cart. textStatus: 'parsererror' errorThrown: 'SyntaxError: JSON.parse: unexpected character at line 1 column 1 of the JSON data' responseText: I suspect that the two are related. I have already posted in this forum post: http://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/349247-error-when-user-attemps-to-change-quanity-in-the-cart/?do=findComment&comment=1763644 It was suggested that I search for help here. I am looking for bids as I do not know what a fair price to pay for this problem. I know how to program decently, but I am unfamiliar with prestashop, and I am putting out a feeler because I have a feeling one of you have encoutered an issue like this before with this software, and could fix this much faster than me, taking something off my plate that is already full. Ftp access and prestashop can be provided. If any further information is required, I am ready and willing to provide whatever answers are required. Thank you. Marc

    yeah honestly, I could spend more time doing the programming myself, but I got so much else on my plate I was hoping for some simple answers. I might be interested in paying someone to fix this just so I dont have to sink more time, someone more familiar with the backend of prestashop. I wonder what it would cost me.

    Yes I do, in an attempt to trouble shoot I have turned off all forms of caching on my site. I also turned off that option. sorry for the slow reply. I hope you can still help me!

    Hello, I am experiencing this error when customer tries to delete or change quantity on items in the cart. I have attempted all the fixes present on this page, and according to those fixes, this should not be occuring in my version of prestashop. prestashop version 1.6.0.9 i can create credencials for you if required, and ill pm them to you. Thank you so much for your help, I hope I haven't missed anything.

    Dare I once again Bump I see tpl files control layout but copying the code from one to the other gives a blank result.

    I guess im asking where to and from do I copy the code from new products' layout to my home page layout. I want to do the same for my category pages. Thank you, sorry I didnt mean to be rude by bumping.

    But that isn't what I asked for.... I am searching for changing the layout of my home page, not just the list/grid default. I want to have it with the left bar and the option for customer to choose list/grid. I want my entire website to look like this layout: www.headyglasspieces.com/new-products
