I've been working for 3 days trying to get Prestashop to install without any success. No matter what I do, I eventually run into a blank white screen. I first attempted to install it on my VPS with 5 gigs of ram and a hand full of processors. I couldn't get past the initial memory error.. Frustrated, I decided to skip the VPS and move to a hosting company who is setup for Prestashop and let them install it for me. I set up an account over at Godaddy and had the C-Panel install 1.6.0.5 for me. It worked fine till I attempted to create a category. Again, another blank screen. I uninstalled 1.6.0.5 and decided to try 1.5.6.2... Again, it wouldn't get past a blank screen. What gives? Is Prestashop stable enough to run a successful ecommerce store securely? I'm getting the feeling this software is free for a reason. Where can I find a compatible hosting company?
