Hi As I can no longer upgrade PrestaShop due to [Ajax / Server Error for action upgradeDb] textStatus: "error " errorThrown:" " jqXHR: " Gateway Timeout"] Just tried this tool out and I get this error - MySQL error 1045: Access denied for user 'modelho3_pres963'@'localhost' (using password: YES) My host is telling me that "I was able to replicate the issue and it seems that the database user does not have permission to write the query's output to a file. My original installation is full of errors and I am unable to access most of the back office - website working fine though So i installed a new version on a sub-directory and imported the database, however I have a few issues I am currently working through. The most annoying is this one, I had PS IT Clean URLs installed on my original installation and I cannot change or save anything on the SEO & URLs page without getting this message! I did try just exporting and importing the database but the error came with it! I'm by no means an expert on this LOL but once I got my head around it it was quite easy - just make sure you create the new site with the same database prefix - saves all the faffing around If you can rename the existing site and install the new site on the same server you can just delete and then import the correct databases I can give you an exact list of the ones i copied later if you would like

I gave up! Copied the upgraded databases and image files c and p, deleted site and reinstalled a fresh version of 1.7! Copied all databases (via PhpMyAdmin) relating to the following - address, attribute, category, customer, feature, images, manufacturer, order, product, stock and my site is all there! Making a few tweaks to get it how I want it but would have had to do that anyway! Just about ready to take it out of maintenance mode - far to much time taken to try to work out what has gone wrong! Will admit I messed up a few times on what databases to copy over but got there in the end! Spent nearly 4 days trying to get site to work with all suggestions and 1 hour to actually have a working site using the above option (after my first few fails LOL) Nikki

I have another website on the same host that is 1.7 - works fine! This was also a fresh install of 1.6 that I was upgrading - started with a fresh install a while ago as was having so many issues and timing out when updating - fresh install cured that and site started working properly (old version was creating too many inodes and cache had to be cleared regularly by host). Have tried a couple of other things in the past couple of days to no avail. Have now copied the database of the upgraded site, deleted and reinstalled 1.7 (all works fine) when database is installed same issues occur. Am now trying just to install the parts on the database that contain the products orders images etc. Slow process but luckily this is not my main source of income at the moment so I have the time to sort it out and I knew that a fair amount of work would need doing on the site anyway (as per the 1.5 - 1.6 upgrade) All the previous issues I have had I believe have come from upgrades and moving hosts which is why I am now going for the clean install, fingers x'd!!

I am working on my new store and have added some attributes but they will not show when I select combinations ie I already had sizes 14", 18" and 20" and I have added 16", 20" and 24" but they are not showing for selection. I have also amended some colour names and changed to drop down list but the colours are still showing in combinations and the new names haven't updated. I have cleared cache and reindexed what else can I try?? I was rebuilding the site in 1.7 as I am unable to upgrade from 1.6 and really don't know what else to try T

Hi Due to 1.6 errors I have recently installed 1.7 as a development website and imported products and customers I am currently working through my products, updating prices etc and simplifying the combinations, however the combinations I have renamed and new ones I have added are not showing up for selection. I have cleared cache, reindexed, tried a different browser etc and still the same result - see image for example Any ideas before I give up ...

I have this constantly - have 5 different logins and sometimes can find one to work. Usual workaround is to remove the https and login not ideal but it works

I am currently building a new website in 1.7 (have used 1.6 for years) all is fine and I prefer it to 1.6 BUT although the cart is visible when empty once you place something in the cart it becomes a blue box with a white fill and you cannot see what it is (image attached) Also the social media icons are missing BUT the links are there (image attached) Am hoping this is a simple fix!! For some reason the wrong shipping charge is being applied if the weight of the order is 1kg, if I change the weight of the product to below or above it charges the correct price banding but exactly 1kg it defaults to 'Out-of-range behavior' and charges the highest price. I have deleted and readded the carrier but it still does the same. I have a lot of products that are 1kg and it behaves the same way if it is one product or products adding up to 1kg. Please help, I am getting a lot of abandoned carts at the moment

I have just created an order from a cart, however the order details do not show on the invoice although the correct price does. The value of the order doesn't show in the cumulative sales on the Dashboard. And the item is still showing as in stock, it should now show as out of stock as it was the only item How can I correct this error?

I turned it on to find out what the error was - which is how I found out it was the Ebay module - unfortunately I cannot remember exactly what it said! I vaguely remember something about T junction or something like that (it was very late at night) so I manually deleted via my host but now I can't reinstall the module so I can't replicate the error
