  1. I want to change all of the text used on CMS pages, Home Text Editor, any of the text for drop down menus, etc. Basically absolutely everything that's text based on the default-bootstrap theme. I can change the color manually on the CMS editor, but that's a complicated way of doing it (and it doesn't always work as it seems to be overidden by something in the CSS), and it inserts a lot of extra code.
  2. I'm trying to change the default text color for Prestashop 1.6. It is currently a grey color that is hard to read against a white background. My customers are complaining, and so I want to change it to black. How do I change this?
  3. Using Prestashop Ver. 1.6.8. - I just updated the Paypal module to the the new Ver. 1.3.8 update, and it is working flawlessly from what I can tell. 1. I receive order confirmation notice upon PayPal checkout. 2. Prestashop is recording the order in back office (it is also recording as well as the eMagicOne Store Manager module) 3. I receive prestashop email notification of a new order, as well as the PayPal payment receipt. 4. Payment is showing in my store's PayPal account. Considering I was having many of the same problems other folks have been having in this thread, this is good news indeed - and I've been working on this issue off and on for close to a year now! Here's to hoping it stays fixed!
  4. That appeared to fix the problem! I was able to toggle the combinations feature in back office to "On" and now my combinations are showing up in front office. Thanks! Just to clarify - should I reinsert that piece of code now that it is working?
  5. So I'm trying to create product combinations - unfortunately I have found out that this feature is disabled on my version of Prestashop 1.6.0.8. Under the Advanced Parameters > Performance > Optional Features section, the option for combinations is not selectable. It is set to "No" right now, but I am unable to switch it to "Yes". It is simply not clickable. All of the other buttons in Performance options work, except the toggle for the combinations button. Is this due to a missing module perhaps? How do I make this work?
  6. It should be noted that even the Prestashop front office demo fails to work properly on mobile. It only works consistently on desktop. 1) The "Categories" drop-down on the Prestashop demo home page does not work right away on smart phone. It may or may not arbitrarily start working, but its behavior is not consistent or even reliable: i.e. sometimes it will drop down after much finger pressing, but then it won't close. 2) I have tried upgrading to 1.6.0.9 using one-click-upgrade module. Despite it successfully loading the file and saying "upgrade complete", in configuration information it still says I'm running Ver. 1.6.0.8! Edit: one small bit of good news! I reset my iPad and upon finishing reconfiguration, it now appears that the add to cart function is working fine across Safari and Chrome. Still having problems with the category drop down not working on smart phone, however.
  7. Edit: the top horizontal menu works perfectly on every other page except the home page (/shop). I get full drop down functionality out of it and can select any item from the list I want. It simply doesn't work on the home page for some strange reason.
  8. Here's the problems: Using default-bootstrap theme. Prestashop ver. 1.6.0.8. 1) Clicking the "Add to Cart" button does not do anything when browsing via mobile (iPad, Android, etc.) I will get a small animation upon clicking the add to cart button, but it does not add anything to the cart. 2) Additionally, the top horizontal menu does not work on mobile phone, whereas it does work on the iPad. Both tablets and smart phones are correctly mobile enabled through the Theme editor. 3) As these appear to be strictly touch screen issues, how does one fix them? Mobile ability is crucial.
  9. eMagic Store Manager is what Prestaship SHOULD be (imo). We could not run our store without it. I've found Store Manager extremely useful, even essential. Export functions are very good, but what shines is the ability to create multiple categories, subcategories, assigning mass categories or subcategories to multiple products at once, manage individual products, prices, meta, and mass product changes. We use expandable category lists on our site, with subcategories. I could NOT do this with Back Office csv import and finally gave up. Now, with Store Manager, I can assign 1 or 1000 products to multiple categories at once (recommend only doing 50 or so at a time). This feature alone made Store Manager absolutely "essential" for us. As far as I know, you can only work with 1 product at a time in Back Office for assigning categories(s), pricing or anything else, a real pain for large sites - far to cumbersome and slow. Doing any of this in Back Office royally sucks (again, imo). Store Manager makes it 10 times easier. Store Manager is way faster too, saving hours of time, whereas Back Office is slow to navigate, slow to make a change comparitively speaking. I have not yet used the the product combination functions, but poking around in Store Manager, this looks like it will be MUCH easier then doing this in Back Office. It is by far the very best module I've ever purchased. I have zero affiliation with them. Definitely recommend anyone frustrated with the clumsiness of Back Office to give it a try. Anyone with more then a few hundred products would probably benefit with Store Manager. It will also support multiple stores very easily, so if you have another domain, no problem. You can make a few clicks (after it's configured for the additional site) and whala! - you're on the new site. There are some problems with Store Manager. You still need Back Office for some administration functions, such as refresh cache, reindex all products, abandoned shopping carts, etc. Font sizes on high resolution monitors leaves a lot to be desired (tiny fonts). Does not export image names, but will export image ID (currently a problem for us).
  10. How do you display images, using just the image ID? Is there a controller for this, and if so, what is the syntax? I could do this with image names via html statements - BUT: I am unable to export image names by product from back office or Shop Manager. Back office appears to have zero capability to export image names. Shop Manager will only export the image ID, but not the image name assigned to that image (a ridiculous oversight imo). I have thousands of images! I could use the image ID to display images, if I could figure out the proper syntax (and if this is even possible). I want to build a simple html table that display all of the images for a product unit (up to 50 images per product unit). Each image will be hyperlinked to allow visitors to click them and display additional product details. This is the CMS controller using ID - ../index.php?id_cms=29&controller=cms But is there a image controller, and what is the proper syntax? I tried a forum search with no success. Any help is much appreciated!!!
  11. It's pretty clear that with all the reported errors with the PayPal USA module, now over many months by many Prestashop users and websites, that no "fix" will be forthcoming. I very much suspect that this is even deliberate now, with the solution to "buy" your necessary fix if you intend to ever use PayPal, via custom PayPal module support (if you can find anybody who will support it, I failed to do so) or buy the Presto Changeo module. Anybody that uses Prestashop very long will eventually realize that essential fixes that should have long ago been resolved are never forthcoming - but working modules can be bought. I doubt that this is "accidental". I'm not cheap, I've spent many thousands now on Prestashop, and am prepared to spend more as necessary, but I'm rather enraged by the constant deception that I've seen, especially and in particular with PayPal USA module. This was a huge mistake. So on a matter of principle, I found a zero-cost workaround after waiting a few months now for support and being endlessly mislead both here and by PayPal. I simply provide the payment total and email address for customers to send me the PayPal payment during Check checkout. I added a bit of text to the Check processing checkout to show the order total with shipping, and the email address to send the payment to. Now customers can checkout via the Check payment option, and either send a check, or send PayPal. Works just fine, no problems with bad addresses, or module setup or API or anything - no PayPal module needed. Customers DO have to login into PayPal on a seperate screen and enter in the payment amount and email address they are sending to, but this isn't a big deal. Screw the endless months of trying to use a PayPal module that was apprently designed to never work. Intentionally imo.
  12. 7 days later.... Apparently the answer is "nobody". Interesting.
  13. It does not work. Payment option during checkout does not show up on the screen and never has. Prestashop 1.5.6 PayPal USA 1.3.1 PayPal Link I've had PayPal setup a new Live PayPal Link account, obtained a new VAR from my processor, created a new Admin user in PayPal manager (different then the primary Admin of course), entered in all the correct information for Advanced setup (why this is required for LINK is unknown to me - but it seems to be required, even though Advance is NOT the same as Link). API setup is left blank. I have tried every possible combination recommended on this board, reading through every thread, including setting secure tokens (didn't work), configuring the PayPal setups in PayPal Manager (return URL's and so forth), trying to configure Layout C and virtually everything others have recommended to get this piece of dung to work. Nothing shows up on the checkout screen as a PayPal payment option and never has. Those that say it works are apparently not using PayPal Link. They're either using Standard, Advanced or Express. I did get Standard to appear as a payment option - but it's not what I need. I have my own merchant account and without Link, I can't use it. I do have another payment module from Merchant-E which does show up - and workes fine for credit card payments, worked the very first time, no problems. I've even temporarily disabled this module just to "see" if PayPal would finally show up (didn't work). But Merchant-E is missing something critical - called "reference transactions" and that is the only reason I keep trying to use PayPal, otherwise I'd chuck this piece of shit into the deep ocean. Do I sound frustrated? Well damn, it should not take WEEKS of screwing around to get what should be a bolt-on module to work. Can't believe that this is such a nightmare. It's definitely NOT ready for release, since posting this problem on the board many others have weighed in that the module does not work for them either.
  14. Nope, still doesn't show up. Installed "latest software", PayPal USA version 1.3.1. Checked my advanced settings, user has ADMIN privileges. Logged into PayPal Manager under that username - it did ask me to change password, which I did. Went back and changed password in advanced settings in the module. PayPal option during checkout still does NOT show up as before. I've also followed the "instructions" to "enable secure token". Could be where this is wrong - I'm NOT using Advanced, I've selected PayPal Link because that's what I have with PayPal. I'm trying to get PayPal Link to show up on the screen as a payment option. It's never showed up even once in the past several weeks of effort. I've also ensured that I have a LIVE account with PayPal under this login.
