  1. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to offend, maybe my reply seemed offensive but I just got very dissapointed for the lack of information regarding database feed manually. I'm not a basic user, I can handle manual procedures, and that's what I'm trying to do, but the thing is I searched everywhere and there is no mention of how to import eg. customers and other relevant data from a 1.3.1 shop to a 1.6.8 version. I remember something about the database structure changes, that the data structure is not the same anymore. But I would like to have more specific on this, specially since I'm handling with 1.3.1. Everything seems so different from 4 years ago, the documentation was very clear and I remember the Prestashop team answering very fast and trying to help. And I may have not contributed lately, but I did help with problems of other members when I installed the first time and will be very pleased to contribute with others in the future. Please, just give me a hand if you know about some topic or webpage with instructions on the issue, I didn't expect any ready-answer to my problem, of course I can do it myself. Just some info, that's it. Thank you for the reply and any information you can bring!
  2. No help available on this?? So much has changed this forum since last time I used Prestashop? Is it now everything commercial? No pay, no help?
  3. Hi, I installed version 1.6 to a test server and I reset all tables, customers, products, etc. But I want now to import the customers, products and orders from a 1.3.1 version database. - Is this possible to do through phpMyAdmin? - Does the 1.6 database structure differ from 1.3? Are they compatible? - Do I have to include the same carriers to be able to show the past orders for customers in the new version? - Is there any instruction available for doing this? Thank you in advance!
  4. I've been running my store since last year with the 1.3.1.1 version and it has been working great. The simple question is, what should I do if I have a modified this files Root - contact-form.php - order.php - cart.php Classes - Adress.php - Links.php - Tools.php - Product.php Config - settings.inc.php - smarty.config.inc.php Should I also redesign my theme to fit the new 1.4.x version? Please tell me your opinions, I will wait to update until I get a clear image on this.
  5. Hi everybody, I'm experiencing a weird problem that I don't know how to solve. My site sitemap.xml file is not being generated anymore with the www-prefix as it was before. So, when I want to update the sitemap in the Google webmaster tools site, it doesn't index any changes because the prefix is not included in the addresses of the sitemap. Is this something to do with some change in my host or what do you think it could be? Before the Google sitemap module used to generate the entire address http://www.mysite.com/shop/sitemap.xml and now is doing this http://mysite.com/shop/sitemap.xml Any help from the Prestashop team please!! I'm using PS 1.3.1
  6. Yes I did, look this other post to see what I modified http://www.prestashop.com/forums/viewthread/72915/#312540
  7. First of all many thanks for the Prestashop team for this great software! I'm running 1.3.1 version and my store has been opened since 2 months already and everything has been quite positive until now. But now comes the BIG step and challenge of updating the store after having it opened. I would like to read comments and opinions of other experienced colleagues on how you make your own updates, how you close your stores and how you tell to the customers that the store will be closed for software update. I'm very scared of promising a time lapse that will be longer, so do you notify them at all before closing the store (probably done at night??) or how? I've been thinking of closing the entire domain with a httaccess file in the root directory. I don't know how you can use the Prestashop mantainance message if you anyway need to change the name of the old installation directory. Is it possible to use it during the update installation? - What if something goes wrong during the update and you need more time than the notified to the customers, did you have experiences like this? How customers react? - Do you test your new versions somewhere else? Do you import your customer data to the test DB for testing?
  8. I'm running Prestashop 1.3.1 in my store, and I have customized some modules .php and .tpl files ander the modules directory and also modified eg. these files: Root - contact-form.php - order.php - cart.php Classes - Adress.php - Links.php - Tools.php - Product.php Config - settings.inc.php - smarty.config.inc.php Now the bad thing about it, is that I made the changes to the original version files following my needs and the answers found in this forum. The store works great by now, but I'm very afraid that something will go wrong when I update to 1.3.2 without changing these files again. What would be the safest way to update? Is it safe if I copy all these files to the new version after update? or do I have to compare each of these files with the new ones and merge the content?? I guess probably most of the reasons for the custom files where solved perhaps in this new version, so maybe after update I'll have to test first and then see if the custom files are needed. One change that I remember was done to the registration form, I added telephone as obligatory, is this corrected in the new version? Please tell me your opinions, I will wait to update until I get a clear image on this issue.
  9. Is there a price variable for the shopping cart like $total_price, which includes the voucher discounts without the shipping cost? Can anyone of the Prestashop team answer to this question, please?
  10. Guys, how I get displayed the total price after voucher discount WITHOUT shipping cost in the shopping cart details? I'm sure there is a solution for this.
  11. Am I the only one who ever asked about this?? I mean, this value is naturally included on the invoice but not in the FO order detail/shopping cart. What I need is the total price after voucher discount WITHOUT the shipping cost. Please guys, give me a hand on how to solve this, so I can start giving vouchers.
  12. I would like to display the total price with voucher discount included in the shopping cart after the customer adds the discount voucher. Right now, I'm just getting the amount of discount, but nut the new price after reduction. I tryied with $total_price and $total_discounts, but they are not the right codes, can anybody how to get it displayed? Thanks
  13. if you reset your customer table you should do this as well in order to keep off problems with account creation in the future: TRUNCATE TABLE `ps_customer_group`;
  14. I'M GLAD TO ANNOUCE THAT THIS BUG WAS RESOLVED! I didn’t run manually the updates, just took a watch at both tables ps_customer and ps_customer_group (which was added after version 1.3 as I understood) So, as Alain asked, the PREFIX_customer table had the customer_group_id index, but the problem was that I truncated all the test customer tables according to this post http://www.prestashop.com/forums/viewthread/9045/#39166 and in that instruction this new table ps_customer_id, so it stayed with the previous customers ids, and that was causing the conflict when adding new ones with the same id. So what you must do if you are having the same problem is to run this code in your phpmyadmin TRUNCATE TABLE `ps_customer_group`; Sounds stupid, but it burned my head for at list 1 day, so I hope this solution helps others as well. As far as I tested the customer registration works fine now in FO and BO.
