  1. i'm not a pro, but since i host website on shared server i had to do some things to speed it up. I disabled all stats related modules(i use awstats logs in cpanel to track stats) , cleaned all ps_connections,ps_connections, ps_connections_source, ps_guest(if you delete all these you will lose your stats). Also every few days i delete carts not associated with orders, which seems to help a lot. Two more things that were slowing down my site were Specials Block and Catalog Price Rules, so i disabled Specials module and don't use catalog price rules.
  2. http://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/336382-solvedroll-back-sitemap-generator-module-update/ In this thread El patron has attached sitemap module from version 1.5.4.1. It fixed lastmod errors in my 1.5.6.2 shop
  3. Just tested it on local and live website, it worked. Thanks again, i need to post this in another Sitemap thread so other people can fix it
  4. thanks, i will check if it works for me. What i did before is replaced all bugged dates in my "bugged" sitemap and uploaded it to webmaster tools, it fixed all my lastmod errors but i don't really feel like doing it every time manually
  5. Kind of off topic but could you tell me what could be the problem: everything seems to work fine now but i noticed under configuration info in BO Check your configuration Required parameters: Please fix the following error(s) Optional parameters: OK It's not showing what exactly to fix
  6. the ones that i was looking at were unmanaged but had good price, i already went with shared hosting for now and will look at guides how to setup VPS so i can do it myself later. I already host one website on dedicated server with webhostinguk, they're pretty good.
  7. I really appreciate your help, it worked. Everything redirects properly now. Thank you
  8. just tried again. It did regenerated htaccess under in my subfolder but not in the root. How do i generate one in root?
  9. domain.com/store - works(takes me to the index page) domain.com - doesn't work(shows store under construction default page) Shouldn't it redirect me to the domain.com/store when i'm accesing domain.com
  10. oh i probably didn't explain it well. I had my subfolder in url before, it's just when i access domain.com it doesn't take me to the website
  11. Prestashop 1.5.6.2. They did a full backup and restored it on new server exactly same way in the subfolder
  12. yes it was. Since it's not propagated yet i'm using proxy so i can access BO and domain.com/store/ just fine but accessing domain.com gives under construction page of my old host. I also have a warning message in my BO under Preferences>Urls&SEO URL rewriting (mod_rewrite) is not active on your server, or it is not possible to check your server configuration. If you want to use Friendly URLs, you must activate this mod. I just asked my host if mod_rewrite enabled and they said it is enabled My bad, i forgot to mention ps version, it's 1.5.6.2
  13. I just moved my store to the new host and still waiting for it to propagate but i think there is a problem with redirect. I can access my store via domain.com/store but when i try domain.com it gives me error page "The web hosting service for this web page is provided by SiteGround.com. Our client is still working on their website, but nice of you to come by. Check back again!" I was getting a 500 internal server error at first but then deleted htaccess in root and subfolder and regenerated it by turning on/off friendly url, it regenerated one in subfolder but not in the root. So now i can access domain.com/store but domain.com doesnt redirect
  14. i have to move my website to different host and this is what i think i will go with a Virtual Server - L https://www.leaseweb.com/en/cloud/virtual-server and need to set it up and migrate my existing prestashop store there(i have files and DB backup on my pc). So need to setup and configure everything to run prestashop store SAN Storage 80GB (SAN Storage, RAID 10) Virtual CPU 4 Core Virtual RAM 4GB Datacenter Netherlands Operating system type 64 bit OS CentOS 6 Server Control Panel cPanel/WHM (VPS) IP 1 Bandwidth 500 GB Uplink Port Speed 1 x 1000Mbps Full-Duplex (Virtual) Firewall Basic Firewall They said they're unmanaged hosting company and wont assist with migration and anything else. I could migrate it myself if everything was set up but i never installed Apache and mysql servers. Please pm me your bid and estimated completion time
