J'ai trouvé ! Cela se passe dans le premier écran d'installation. Il y a une options qui permet de désactiver l'installation des datas de démo. Du coup l'installation s'est bien passée. Problème résolu.

RESOLVED: I performed an installation WITHOUT the demonstration data. There is an option in the first installation screen that allows you to turn it off. This did the trick for me. Yann

Moi aussi j'ai exactement le même problème en installant sur un serveur dédié OVH. I have a similar problem, although I get a less detailed error message: I am installing PS 1.6.0.9 on my own server. Config details : Linux "Wheezy" + nginx 1.2.1 + PHP 5.4.4 + mysql 5.5.38 Installation folder: /home/telz/www/ "telz" is the Unix account name, "www-data" is the group name for the web server (nginx): I have a firewall on my server, but which allows outgoing connections, especially on standard ports. I tried setting define('_PS_MODE_DEV_', true); in config/defines.inc.php, but I did not get any more meaningful error messages. Syslog is not giving anything. Googling the issue did not help either.
