  1. Hi - I'm going to import some products via csv file. I notice in the "import" section of Products in BO, that the fields shown don't match those in the table, ie ps_product. For instance you have Active (0/1) as the second field in the "import" section of products, when in the database, the second field is id_supplier, and it is just called "active" in the table. What if I want to import product height, depth and weight along with the other product details? How do I go about this. I'm not quite sure how you have this set up for imports. Any advice would be gratefully received. Maybe, it would be easier to import the csv file via ftp, instead of using Prestashop - being I want to update other fields in the table, rather than stick with just those you have detailed in the "import" section. Is this the way most people do it. Thanks
  2. Hi - it would be useful to have access to some sort of data dictionary for Prestashop 1.5 so that I would know the purpose of each table/field in the database. Is there such a thing to be had on-line? Also, where are the database queries kept - that would be useful to know to check what is actually happening at each "Save" event should I ever get problems. Thanks
  3. Hi If you go to our charity Wordpress site, www.welshspitfire.org - and click on the SHOP navigation menu item, you will go to a page which shows 4 items which we have for sale. Clicking on one of these items SHOULD take you to that same item located in Prestashop, but it doesn't. For your information I have Prestashop located within same domain as the Wordpress files, but Wordpress files are loose in the top directory of the domain - ie not in a single Wordpress folder, whilst Prestashop is located within the top directory of the domain in a single folder called museumshop. I keep getting an error whilst trying to navigate to the Prestashop pages from the Wordpress site - eg clicking on the mugs image in Wordpress main site takes me to; http://www.welshspitfire.org/museumshop/EN/memorabilia/9-mugs.html ..... which gives me a 404 error message. The link address I have for this item from Wordpress is; http://www.welshspitfire.org/museumshop/memorabilia/9-mugs.html Where is the EN coming from - I believe it is this that is causing the problem? The hosting server is located in UK. It must be something to do with my Prestashop configuration I'm guessing, but what do I need to do to fix it? Thanks NB......OK - I have now changed within the Languages page, english (United Kingdom) as iso code gb and language code as gb, which now seems to work. I am hoping not to have to use other languages, but I am giving the choice of using other currencies. Do I have to alter the other languages in any way to just be able to use international currencies? Its all a bit confusing? Thanks
  4. Well all is ok now - but I've asked hosts to check database, as I'm sure I wouldn't have had that message unless something wasn't quite right. Anyway - there was a bit of confusion with my shop when both gb and en were enabled, it turned out that when I added the en to the url, I would get the lorem ipsum dialogue etc, but when I put gb in the url - the shop behaved itself. So there was something amiss with my shop when other languages were enabled. Will I require languages to be enabled in the future - what would it be used for? Thanks
  5. Now I've got a database error message Link to database cannot be established: SQLSTATE[08004] [1040] Too many connections. Oh, gee its one of those days.
  6. Ok - well I think its something to do with enabling languages, as I have now disabled the en language (which is US). Why does that happen, ie give you two different sites? Thanks
  7. Hi - if you have a look at our site http://www.welshspitfire.org/museumshop/en and http://www.welshspitfire.org/museumshop/gb, I seem to have two different versions of the same site. I only want the one with gb, as the other one has lots of problems which i thought were due to caching - but now I see that it is something to do with two versions a gb and an en. I only want the site gb to be shown to all visitors. How do I do that? Do I need to disable something? Thanks - I've been scratching my head lately about this.
  8. Why won't it work in sandbox mode? That's why they have a sandbox mode, to test with. Thanks
  9. Hi - yes different browsers. I went in to the museum today to show the chairman how far I'd gone with Prestashop, and even he had Lorem Ipsum. However, I think if people have viewed the page whilst it had Lorem Ipsum on it, then it seems to get stuck. What can I do in the BO to get rid of any caches? I've tried to get rid of cache in my browsers, but still stuck. Weird!!
  10. Hi - it must be something to do with my computer then - I've cleared out cache and history from browsers - but still it remains. Well, if its only my computer that's not so bad. Thanks for checking for me.
  11. Hi You would have thought that removing and editing lorem Ipsum using the Home Text Editor would do the job, but I keep getting lorem ipsum back. I've turned off the cache in BO and checked recompile, but still lorem ipsum returns. When I view the editor, my own text is showing. Is there anything else I should do to get rid once and for all. URL is http://shop.welshspitfire.org NB - Problem being, only those who speak the language will understand it ( only joking!). Thanks
  12. OK - so I did this; #new_account_form p.select { display: none; } in global.css as I could not find anything else to alter without causing errors. It works, so I guess that'll do. Thanks
  13. Hi - authentication.tpl only has 2 lines in it. I guess its changed with 1.5? IE require(dirname(__FILE__).'/config/config.inc.php'); Tools::displayFileAsDeprecated(); Tools::redirect('index.php?controller=authentication'.($_REQUEST ? '&'.http_build_query($_REQUEST, '', '&') : ''), __PS_BASE_URI__, null, 'HTTP/1.1 301 Moved Permanently'); Anybody else have any ideas? Thanks
  14. Hi I can think of very few shops that need to hold on to details of customer birthdays - I for one don't think I've ever come across one. So, in the 1.5 installation of Prestashop, how does this functionality get removed without causing errors. Please tell me in which pages I need to edit, and indicate whether its one line, or several. I would have thought there might be an easy way from BO. Many thanks
  15. This is an old thread, but where do you write the various language versions - With regard to the featured products, the short description is showing in every browser with me except Maxthon. In Maxthon the bottom tab with full description is not showing either. Why might this be? URL - www.welshspitfire.org/museumshop/
