I found the issue. The "layered navigation" module was disabled, so the option to disable/enable to index attributes and values was not available at Catalog > Attributes and Values > Edit New Attributes. After enabling the module this option is available again. Thanks!

Hi Radu, Unfortunately the module you suggest would not work for me. I would like to have a calendar where the user could select available dates for the product, and based on that display times available for the specific product and date. Any suggestions? Thank you!
