  1. There is a new version of prestashop, that although i haven't been brave enough to install it, doesn't mean you shouldn't Anyway and maybe i'm recapping stuff said earlier but: a) Your theme should be compatible with prestashop 1.5. I tried multiple themes, and they all perhaps have code mostly designed for 1.4 prestashop (guessing here). The theme for some reason has the code responsible for pricing and showing sales. The theme i had most success was ..google thgr00027o, or graphileom. This isn't an endorsement, just saying sales prices worked -better- and is worth a try just to see what happens. Create a customer account (with address) and view your shop that way! Without logging in, i see 'guessed' prices including taxes. Logged in, i see correct prices. Hopefully this helps, after this i got nothin!
  2. I -think- i have narrowed down an issue with special pricing on combinations not working properly down to being the fault of the code for the drop down box. I have two themes available. An ugly 'default theme' and a better 'prestashop' theme. In the default theme, i can use radio boxes, and the price seems to work correctly. Unfortunately, In the prestashop theme, whether i choose radio boxes, color, or dropdown, it ONLY will ALWAYS show up as a dropdown list. Is there a setting somewhere in preferences or something i am missing? thanks! jody
  3. Hi, just some followup, i believe i discovered the culprit. first back up your database : ) Try changing your shop theme to 'default' and see if that solves the problem. For me, the default theme has radio boxes (little circles), and the prestashop theme has combo boxes. My bet is the radio boxes have slightly different code than the combo boxes. perhaps you can choose between the two in your theme?
  4. i'm still a noob so not much else i can say other than check odd things you wouldn't suspect: a.) is it possible to upgrade prestashop to 1.5.4 (or newer?) b.) contact your hosting provider. it is -possible- that the host site did some changes that affected you in an odd way. seems strange, but for me, my host had a funny issue with categories. c.) create a new test item, and then do a special on that. same problem? d.) make sure you have your own 'customer account', to view the cart. maybe logged-in users see the specific pricing? e.) i don't know about your version, but make sure in specific pricing, for Customer, it says 'All Customers'
  5. i think there is a big bug with taxes/specific pricing and combinations. does the price change to the correct price after it gets added to the cart section? a) try finding the setting 'show taxes in shopping cart' and disabling that. i think it is in one of the tax sections, but not positive. i think that is resolving it for me for now, but i've yet to fully test it. b.) whichever you are discounting by: percentage or by amount.. try the opposite.
  6. I have a similar problem with discounting a combination (or just one option). If I discount a dollar amount, then it leads to a lot of muck in the pricing. If I discount a percentage, it displays the incorrect price, ie: Reduced price! CAD $0.00; however, it DOES put the correct pricing into the shopping cart.
  7. Resolved. PascalVG had the right idea. When the host installed, they installed 1.4 first then upgraded to 1.5 due to issues they have had. They made some changes at their end. It appears the default template did have some issues, and now the shopping cart appears to be behaving correctly for this issue. Thanks for your suggestions! jody
  8. The site isn't 'live' yet, as i am still trying to figure out the taxes and decorate stuff up. http://www.c-tea-ca.com/teashop/ Oddly, this morning, i tried the site from home instead of the two work computers i was using, and it works as intended. I am wondering if something in browser' cache somehow was messing things up (+ possible host made some changes) as: The categories look a lot different in their listing of products. Could be my monitor The prices have been changed (ie, 8.13) to include taxes i think.. anyway, will get back today after ccleaner does it work!
  9. This is an odd one. I have added most of my products into my prestashop store (newest 1.5.4.0?). When i add a product from the -featured- page, the item goes into the cart perfectly. If i go into a category or subcategory view, and try to add something to the cart, i get this message: 'Product not found This product is no longer available.' -however- if i click the product for further details, then it shows me correctly how many items i have in stock, and permits me to add the item to the cart. Any ideas? Actually, this may be better in the configuring & using prestashop forum? I'd move it, but i can't see where to delete/move a post.
  10. You may want to talk to your webhosting team. For ours, it looks like there were some internal issues with 1.5. Our webhost suggests using the 1.4 install first, and then upgrading later. I'm in the process of doing that.
  11. I have the exact same problem, under Seanic.net's Linux hosting. First time user/install of Prestashop 1.5.4.0, and still learning my way around the program. It appears I can do everything BUT access the categories section of the Catalog tab. I have tried three browsers (Chrome, IE, Opera)
