  1. Hi there, No, we went with OpenCart in the end. I think there are ways of hacking this in Prestashop but I didn't want to go down the hacking route. Ed
  2. thanks Bnutz, i got it working temporarily by using gmails smtp servers. Not ideal but it work until I setup something more permanent like you've suggested above - thanks for that. The dev team should look at this issue closely though as it shouldn't be necessary for anyone to have to do this. just my 2 cent!
  3. I'm having the same issue. I know the mail function works correctly in some other sites running on the same server. Any solution to this problem? Ed
  4. that's perfect rocky! thanks for the quick response!
  5. Hey there, Does prestashop allow you to setup multiple flat rate delivery zones per order ie. flat rate shipping fee UK - EUR5 USA - EUR10 JAPAN - EUR25 Thanks in advance! Ed
  6. just a further update with more info the issue only exists when clciking on the "Catalog" tab. i.e. shopadmin/index.php?tab=AdminCatalog&token=866747f4936c556419f6b661771dd041 all other links even sub links are ok within catalog - but i cannot manage my shop at the moment! if I remove the token from the url string - i get an "invalid security token" message instead of the blank screen - which enables me to access sub menu items within the catalog. Any help massively appreciated!
  7. Hi there, installed 1.3 beta 1 on a win03 server using WAMP - the install went fine - all min criteria met. I was able to login to both front and back with no problems and use full prestashop functionality with no problems. All of a sudden when trying to add a subcategory to the catalog from the admin area I now get a "The connection was reset" error in firefox and IE. I've seen some vaguely related threads talking about problems with cookies but no resolve. The rest of the frontend and backend seems to work fine - this is specific to the catalogue manager. There's no errors in the apache/php logs. Does anyone know what could cause something like this? Thanks, Ed
  8. Hi, i've found some threads about how to make them suitable for Ireland. I also found the UK address modifications. Is there a module out there to let you control the address fields? for example in Ireland we don't yet have a formal postcode system. In addition, many users won't have a city - they will live in rural areas. I would also like to add a "county" option listing Irish counties. In opencart they have this feature by default - is there something similar in prestacart? Many thanks, Ed
  9. thanks rocky those modules look very useful!
  10. hi, i'm trying to figure out if it's possible to use prestashop to have multiple custom product filters i'm selling wine online and i'd like customers to be able to filter by: - colour (e.g. red, wine, rose) - price (e.g. under $10, $10-$20, $20-50, $50+_ - country (e.g. france, italiy, usa, chile) ---region (e.g. alsace, bordeaux, loire) - style (e.g. dry, sparking) a good example is shown here (see left hand side) http://www.curiouswines.ie/index.php and here for subfilters http://www.curiouswines.ie/wine-by-country.php?cat=31 these filters would also need to be custom product attributes like here: http://www.curiouswines.ie/proddetail.php?ref=byc&prod=La_Revolution_Grenache is this possible with prestashop?
  11. thanks for the rapid and valuable response - trust me to pick and example that's the exception rather than the rule on the pricing! I'll play around with attributes and see how that works. Many thanks, Ed
  12. Hi all, Will prestashop allow to have an individual product entity to be sold either individually (i.e. 1 bottle of wine) or in bulk (i.e. buy a case of wine) 1 case does not equal the same price as 12 bottles! It's generally a little cheaper as the customer is buying in bulk. See an example of what I mean here: (Add a Case or Add a Bottle) http://www.enowine.ie/ProdSelect1_details.asp?id=GrapeVariety&GrapeVariety=Cabernet Sauvignon&prodcode=BX-04-04 Thanks! Ed
