Thanks for your reply. I couldnt find a javascript in the bottom in PS1.4. I went with your advice to upgrade. Couple of days ago I upgraded to PS1.6 and now the site is working great. However, all my product links dont work anymore. Strange thing I noticed was product URL has changed. (from http://www.buildingeasy.co.nz/index.php?id_product=548 to http://www.buildingeasy.co.nz/index.php?id_product=548&controller=product) How do I keep the same URL or recover product links in PS1.6. Thanks

Thanks for your reply. Product photos size I use when creating new product is about 60KB. I dont know this is too large and slowdown the site. Also someone said to me that I should use sprite to speed up the site. Thanks

Hi, My site works on Prestashop 1.4. It takes about 20 seconds to open the site. How do I optimise to open the site faster. I have over 400 products and over 1500 photos in the site. Thanks

I have set up another website with different domain name but with same back up and database files myself. So that I can play with the new site to trial update, editing etc. I am tring to update this new site to new prestashop version. Thanks

I am trying to upgrade my shop running from PS1.3.2.3 to latest version 1.4.8.2. I have tried several times as per http://doc.prestashop.com/display/PS14/Updating+PrestaShop I have replaced Mail, Img, Modules, Themes, Upload and Download folders with old version files also changed the setting file in Config Folder. But I don't know if any added customized Classes in old version as the guy who did the site is not contactable any more. Can I get the site up and running without adding any customized Classes How do I find customized Classes files in old version Is this problem due to any other thing like Modules, Themes etc Your help is appreciated. My website developer is not contactable any more and I am looking for someone who can do some editing of my website plz. I am not sure how this kind of arrangement works too. My website is done on PrestaShop / MySQL. It is an e-commerce website with shipping cost automatically calculates to city - suburb and volume. Do I need a developer who knows PrestaShop or any developer with the knowladge of PHP/MySQL can do this? Thanks for your assistance. Mel.
