  1. SOLVED. The problem with all 5 CCC settings was down to 2 versions for every setting in the Prestashop database. There must only be 1 version. It seems a lot of PS 1.6 users are experiencing this, so here is the solution: 1. Access your prestashop database via phpmyadmin or similar. 2. Navigate to the table ps_configuration 3. Display all rows and sort by row "name" (this will help spotting duplicates) 4. Check the following 5 entries and delete any duplicates: PS_JS_HTML_THEME_COMPRESSION PS_JS_THEME_CACHE PS_JS_DEFER PS_CSS_THEME_CACHE PS_HTML_THEME_COMPRESSION 5. Clear browser cache and empty prestashop cache (this is not necessary but will ensure that there are no caching issues) 6. Return to Prestashop adin Panel advanced parameters and reconfigure the CCC settings. 7. Hit "Save". This time your settings should be saved correctly
  2. Ok so an update. - some of these were due to duplicate database entries. Still working on the javascript compression.
  3. Hi, We have finished building a PS 1.6 site with default template and are in the process of speeding things up., In Advanced parameters, every time we turn the following settings to "Yes/on", and click save, they default back to "No". Is this normal!? The paramaters that default back to off are - Smart cache, smart cache for javascript, compress/minimise html, compress/minimise javascript. Thanks
  4. Thanks El Patron - opened here - http://forge.prestashop.com/browse/PSCSX-5627
  5. Thanks for the response, and well done on a solution. I come across lots of other people experiencing this problem, and nobody has found a suitable fix. It seems like a pretty bad flaw in Prestashop logic and would be great if one of the dev team would look in to it.
  6. Hi, We have a new PS 1.6 store. Taxes work fin e when logged in, but are not working when logged out. We have tried changing the customer group "Visitor" setting using with AND without tax, but either way the prices are always displayed without VAT. A number of other people have had this problem without a solution. Is this a Prestashop bug or are we missing something? Advice would be appreciated. Thanks
  7. Hi kognito - did you get around this? We are experiencing the same problem. Guest view always show without tax
  8. Ok thanks guys. I guess the nicest and most suitable solution for prestashop would be to implement a Wordpress-like child-theme, whereby the childtheme only has the overridden files in, and these do not get updated when the theme is refreshed.
  9. Hi, We have a brand new PS 1.6 website that keeps logging us out of the back office every 5-10 minutes. Very frustrating trying to develop the website. In backoffice Admin settings we have the IP check set to "No" Much appreciated.
  10. SO I can update my theme without losing changes to the files.
  11. Hi Brendezzu, did you ever resolve this? The only work round I can see is a messy one: shorten your category names as required On the category page hide the acutal title using CSS Add in the description your own title using a <h1>tag</h1> If anyone has a better solution, please say :-)
  12. Is there any way to modify a themes tpl in override (without touching core theme files)? For example, how can I modify the following file in override - themes/default-bootstrap/modules/blockcms/blockcms.tpl I have been looking around all over the place for this and would be amazed if this is still not possible in Prestashop. Thanks
  13. Confermo.
  14. Any update on this topic? I have a very similar issue - on the product page, the page does not load past the image tab and gives the errors: Error: "mydomain.com/js/jquery/jquery-1.11.0.min.js line 2 > eval:2 has stopped working" Error "Some tabs was not loaded correctly. Would you like to reload them?" In common with the other websites above, my site is also on GoDaddy (quite possibly the world's worst hosting). If anyone has resolved, please post the solution here. Thanks
