  1. We tested and canceld out of the beta .... Too many issues and couldn't access the store using it.... Returned our site to it's previous state without their beta PageSpeed service and it's been running fine ever since... Regards, Doug
  2. Hello Chris ... Thank you very much for your response ... I think I found a conflict with using Google's PageSpeed Service and the admin function of Prestashop. I'll use x's for privacy ... My store works fine at http://www.xxxx.com/index.php If I click on the admin access at http://www.xxxx.com/...irect=index.php, which used to work fine, I get the inability to login as shown in my first post. However, if I substitute the www.xxxx.com with the IP address of my site ie: http://12.34.55.166/...irect=index.php I'm able to login just fine to the admin area and use all the functions, but I get a message at the top that says.. You are currently connected with the following domain name: 12.34.55.166 This domain is different from the main shop domain name set in "Preferences > SEO & URLs": So, I check the preferences and of course, it shows my domain as www.xxxx.com, which is correct, but Google PageSpeed Service caching doesn't like it for some reason. For now, I've been using it with the IP address direct and making my Admin changes... I asked Google support about it, but they sent me a bunch of "technobabble" that I don't understand.. Any idea what I should be fixing on my dedicated host server to solve their problem? I guess I could just cancel their service telling them it's incompatible with Prestashop and move on, but I do think it sppeeds up the site. Appreciate your feedback .. Regards, Doug
  3. Hello.. Ok, I have a bit of a crisis .. My Prestashop 1.4.6.2 store has been running fine for the lasy year.... I have been able to access the Store Admin without any problems. I tried to access admin today using my standard admin email address and password, but all that would happen was the screen would "flash" and return to the login prompts. So, I thought maybe I had forgot my password or something like that. I had the admin screen send me a new password and I received the email with it. I then typed in the email address and new password, but it still just flashed the screen once and returned to the login screen, with no errors or explanation shpwing. The ONLY thing I've done since the last time I used the store admin screen, was to activate the use of Google's new PageSpeed service. Could that be a problem, even though I've told the PageSpeed to service NOT to cache any of my pages? I need to access my admin area and really need some help. Suggestions would be appreciated... Regards, Doug
  4. Is there a way of preventing guests from sending contact emails? We'd only like to receive contact emails from registered members. Thanks .. Regards, Doug
  5. Anyone know why I can't get the "Tracking Visitors" element of statistics working? It always says "Calendar Disabled" even though I have set and save it, plus when I click on any button ie: "Connected", I get a "Tab not Found" error? (see pics) Thanks for any help ... Regards, Doug
  6. A related but slightly different question, if someone could help me please? I was looking at the PHP info report and noticed this specific item. Current PHP variables… memory_limit Local Value 134217728 Master Value 64M Since I've installed the PrestaShop on the same dedicated server as our vBulletin forums, I've been experiencing some anomalies and strange site outages. We've always run a caching program called vB Optimise for use with vBulletin (uses Memcache) without any problem and for some reason, since installing the shop, something is preventing the AJAX calls that vB Optimise performs for its self check, causing it to fail. So, I'm not a programmer, but I'm trying to track down what could possibly be the problem. The local master value for PHP memory used to be exactly the same as the local value, but now I notice that it's different, indicating that something new is causing the value to be increased to 128MB allocated for PHP Memory, over riding the master value of 64MB. Is it possible that some module in PrestaShop or it's add-ons is doing this and where can I check to validate if this increase value is coming from the programming of this new sshop environment. Thanks for any feedback .. Regards, Doug
  7. Thank you ... I found it this time ... Regards, Doug
  8. Follow up ... I can't seem to find any file called /js/product.js in my installation? Regards, Doug
  9. The Featured Field that can be set-up and attached to any product with information that can be entered under the Custom Field tab within the product is a nice way of adding "Data Sheets" to any item. However, I can't figure out how to get the data sheet to keep its formatting when it's displayed on the product page? If I enter this: =============== Specification: .38 Super 9.2 gr 4756 (IMR) 124 gr FMJ OEM Montana Gold/Winchester @ 1.250 OAL w/Winchester small rifle primer & Starling Brass ================ It appears as this under the Data Sheet product display tab: ================ Specification: .38 Super 9.2 gr 4756 (IMR) 124 gr FMJ OEM Montana Gold/Winchester @ 1.250 OAL w/Winchester small rifle primer & Starling Brass ============= How can I get it to keep the original formatting, including missing CR/LF's? Thanks .. Regards, Doug
  10. That's terrific ... Thank you very much for the feedback .... Regards, Doug
  11. Thank you PrestaShop Addict .... Worked perfectly ... Regards, Doug
  12. Using the translation function is working very well helping us to customize our store during its development phase before we go live. We have no need of the Supplier field used the way the name implies, but it's excellent for us to use as Country to help identify which country our products are from. I've translated almost 99% of the places the word supplier or suppliers appears, but I still have this place on the "main screen" where it appears (seepic). I've looked everywhere and I can't find the phrases SUPPLIERS on the primary button link, or All suppliers in the drop down box. Does anyone know where I can locate those two phrases in the code or translation areas? Thanks for any help .. Regards, Dooug
  13. Thanks .. Haven't got that far in our development for the store yet, but I'd bet we might have to enable SSL at some point .. Regards, Doug
  14. Is there any way (or an add-on) that would permit us to set-up a primary PrestaShop environment where we can permit our members to sell their own products? Thanks .. Regards, Doug
