  1. Thank you for the guidance. This afternoon, my first chance to look at it, the BO dashboard loads. I haven't touched a thing. So frustrating. Would it be anyone's opinion that this was caused by the host making changes in a supposed 'production' environment? Thanks again. ~Jo
  2. Thank you in advance for any help. I haven't been in the BO for some time - thankfully everything has been running smoothly so I didn't want to jinx it. Well, I logged in last night - checked a few messages, accessed the modules page and exited. This evening I cannot get the BO login page to load. 3. I still have this problem. I've uninstalled/reinstalled PayPal 3.5.8 I've installed and configured PayPal USA, Canada 1.3.8 My PS is 1.5.5.0 The initial issue was with the state/address issue that would bounce back to my client. They changed something on their submission and it processed. Nothing works since. To my knowledge, nothing has changed on the host side. My path ../prestakoc/mails/en - mailS/en hence, no folder to rename. Is there any additional guidance for this issue? Thanks in Advance.
  4. sadly my hosting company has terrible support. I tried setting up a VPS but couldn't get any PS help to get thru the PS install that kept failing. I'm really frustrated. I finally had a shop and customers with orders coming in! I have a Holiday special I was going to announce and now I can't because I have no access to the back office! I have no idea what to do anymore. So frustrated. Should it be so easy to break? - especially when I've done NOTHING to the code or environment for 2+ months? sigh...
  5. Hi Vekia - I've cleared cache and tried FF, IE, Chrome - all result in same error. "Employee does not exist or password provided is incorrect" - using admin@_____ and the same password I've always used.
  6. I've had a *running* 1.5.5.0 instance for months and now, out of nowhere, I am getting booted from my back office and my login credentials are not working. I have purposely NOT made any changes or attempted any further upgrades to my shop - as it always ends in disaster! I was able to log in this morning and print new orders. Now, I attempt to go back into update order status for my clients and I am directed to the admin login and then in an "unknown employee" loop! A new message DID appear this morning stating that my shop wasn't pointing to the "www" version (no idea). So, in addition to needing help getting back into my shop, can someone also direct me to disengaging ANY and ALL of these "monitoring" messages that decide I suddenly have an issue and blast my shop away?? ...smh... just when I thought the nightmares were over! ~Jo www.knightsshop.com PS 1.5.5.0 shared hosting
  7. I have several instances of abandoned carts all with the same amount in the cart, different dates/times. Is there a way that I can investigate this? Does anyone else see this in their shop? 1.5.5.0 Thanks for your time and any suggestions! ~Jo
  8. Hi Paulito - I agree with bots being the issue for the increasing view count. A bot can't add things to a cart tho and create a potential order. <?> The abandoned carts worry me more - like someone's trying to pick thru the code somewhere. And the cart amount is always the same. But, again, why would a bot be creating a cart? and, if it is, why would it not be daily or in some way consistent aside from the amount? Thanks for your time! ~Jo PS 1.5.5.0
  9. Hey guys - thanks for taking the time to read. I have several instances of abandoned carts that have $1466.15 of product in them. 9 of them in the past 3 weeks, in fact. Is there a way to trace an IP or what action would you take? I also have excessive amounts of page views ("Product Pages Viewed") vs Orders. I realize that this could be a lack of appropriate product, etc... However, I have only shared the site with a targeted audience of 350 people. My product views for Nov are 1475 and they rise about hourly. Is this a bug, possibly? I appreciate any guidance! ~Jo PS 1.5.5.0 www.KnightsShop.com
  10. It is rare, in my experience, to have been involved in such a giving community of professionals and apprentices alike! I am very GRATEFUL for the moderators and contributors of this forum! You ALL make PS a WORTHWHILE pursuit to master and I applaud you!! Thank you to all those that have helped me learn and have accommodated my questions! You may now return to being AWESOME!!
  11. Benjamin - I downloaded 1.5.5 on 8/28 and then noted changes in the package 8/29 and downloaded again. My first attempt used 8/29. After reading your post I cleared everything and uploaded the 8/28 package. I get the same results. Fails on install of "gamification". If I can't get a shop up and ready by the weekend I have to bail on PS and the VPS. Just don't have the time right now to learn all there is to know about the PS code. I was all ready to tell my IT networks about PS and have them jump in - I can't do that though if I can't get it going. Hopefully something is discovered over the next day or so.Otherwise I may have to go use a hosted shop...and that would truly suck.
  12. Still no luck guys! I went in and changed the modules permissions to 777. I changed the memory allocation from 32M to 64, 238, 256 and now at 512 - all no help. I went thru Benjamin's post on php.ini tips and modified all of the suggested settings. STILL failing on gamification - still not getting anything specific in the logs. Am I currently the only one fighting with this? So far with my VPS I can tweak about anything - right down to recompiling the server, etc.. Grateful for the help! I'll keep trying to figure it out...tho I'm running out of patience :-/
  13. Managed VPS - I used EasyApache to configure php based on the install flags raised - GD lib, mcrypt... I downloaded the pkg used 8/30 - unzipped and FTP to new dir off of root. I do have WHM/ CPanel running
  14. Vekia - I see this message on the install/index.php progress page I'm new to VPS and unsure of where I find the php error log?
  15. I jumped into a VPS and have been getting thru setup of the environment. Finally was able to start a fresh 1.5.5.0 install but it fails on install modules addons: Cannot install module "gamification" Not sure where to look to resolve this one. Thanks in advance for help!
