  1. I almost fixed the upgrade, yet I still am having problems getting it to fully work. Everytime I click the catalog tab in the admin section of the site, it will almost cause a server crash. I have about 1,300 products on my site, so it seems its trying to load all of the items in that one page instead of loading them in different categories. It only shows about 10 items (the featured items) and shows the categories, but it seems to be loading ALL of the products when I click the category tab. Any one know what this is? -David
  2. I made a post earlier about upgrading my PS and it causing crashes. I have narrowed it down to one specific error now. When I originally upgraded my prestashop, I got 2 sql errors. I believe that is what is causing this crash. I installed a fresh version and it worked great. I tried to install the fresh version but change the settings.inc.php file to point to my old database, which caused a server crash. Meaning, something in my mysql database is causing the server to crash, I believe it constantly goes into a loop until it completely bogs down the server. Anyone know what I should test to fix this?
  3. I upgraded from 1.1 final on a test site (as upgrading on my main site failed last time) and it comes out and says it had 2 sql errors. I logged into the admin section fine, all the modules were working, everything was working great until I had this problem: When I tried to log into my test account on the site, it completely bogged down my dedicated server almost crashing it. It must have got caught in a loop of some sort. Has anyone else been able to fix this? What am I doing wrong? Could it be the folder permissions or something? Thanks. Update - I had to suspend my site in cpanel. Everytime I go to my site now, it completely crashes the server. It all started once I tried to log into my test account. This is from my bug report: This is a weird situation. 1) In the installation process, it tells me to make my folders 777 permission. I do it to the img folder recursively and for some reason it says that I did it to the modules folder. When I do it to the module folder, it says I did it to the templates/lang folder. It still says that 2 of the folders do not have 777 permissions, even though they do, but I ignore it and continue with the upgrade 2) It upgrades but says that 2 sql errors were caused while it was upgrading. I am unsure what happened, but I continue with the upgrade 3) The site is successfully upgraded, I can view the site, all the pictures are working, all the categories are there, etc. I log into my admin panel, its working like normal. I try to login to one of my random test accounts, it gets stuck. I look at the processes in my dedicated server control panel and it saying that the cpu usage is maxed out, causing all of the other sites on the server to time out. 4) I have to suspend my account with the test version of this upgrade as it continues in (I guess) a loop even after I close my browser. I am unsure how to fix this problems. Are there any solutions to this?
  4. Well didnt fix it, bad words. I uploaded an old backup to the version 1.1 final
  5. Sorta the same thing happened to me, had to reupload the old version as the new one completely screwed up my site. Took me 7 - 8 hours to fix it.
  6. I did, I uploaded the separately, but it could not pick them up. I have just downgraded to the 1.1 as the new one has many issues with crashing my server as SSL problems. I will just wait till they get fixed to even worry about upgrading again (PS - Spent 8 hours straight, no breaks, trying to fix what that updater did to my site)
  7. My site will not load anything up other than the header.php file. After that, I logged into my admin area. Everything works great in there except the modules tab, it does not show any modules. Here is what I tried to do with no luck 1) Made all files/folders 777 2) Uploaded the modules again 3) Uploaded the entire site again from a previously working backup No clue what I can do to fix this. Need help asap as my client needs this working in a few hours! Thanks for the help!!
  8. I just down graded to my 1.1 version as I am having a TON of problems with the new one
  9. Is there anyway to force a certain page to use ssl? I am getting a TON of errors on my pages as some images are using SSL and some are not (using default template) Thanks.
  10. Fixed the pictures (I think) I had to reupload everything again (20,000 pictures) Now I am getting a ton of SSL errors, seems that was not fixed on this release
  11. Major problems here. 1) In the install, all the folder permissions were 777 YET the updater told me the permissions were wrong. (just ignored it) 2) I moved the image folder over, but for some reason none of the products are showing images. (no clue how to fix that) 3) Site is running extremely slow Still trying to fix the pictures, I'll update if I come across anymore problems.
  12. Yes, when I change the name of the item, it makes the html link BUT that link redirects to the "normal" url... Which google and other search engines do not like (meaning less of my site is indexed) If I leave the name of the product the same, the html link works...
  13. Bump, anyone know how to fix this?? Is there anyway to click a button and regenerate all of the links? Thanks.
