[SOLVED] Remove Quantity Option On Product Page
CarriedAwayCrafts replied to clif's topic in OUT - 1.6.0.9 [30 Jul 2014]
Thank you for these solutions, very helpful. But how do you remove the box that the quantity field was in on product page? See attached image. -
3 errors in adding a new product..
CarriedAwayCrafts replied to opora's topic in OUT - 1.6.0.11 [7 Jan 2015]
Followup: I ended up uninstalling PS and then reinstalling version: 1.5.6.2 via Quickinstall on cpanel, hostgator. I then used Prestashop 1-click to upgrade to version: 1.6.0.9. I still had the issue, which may have been related to using unsupported characters in the new product title (I used a dash "-") but I am not certain that that had any bearing. What really seemed to make a difference was when I cleared my cache in Google Chrome (though I cannot say why). After that, I was able to create new products and all seems to be working now. I'm sorry that I cannot offer a more comprehensive solution but I am not a programmer. This is simply what seemed to work for me. -

I have the same problem: Is there any help? -
coolu, it is probably because of the following: The 'new' prestashop default theme, is at the following: http://addons.presta...emplate-15.html If you are using the new theme then follow Flaunts fix above; particularly when he says: Hope this helps.

Okay- so this is actually a bit of a rant, and I realize that this comes almost 18 months after the last post, but - if you can believe this - 'The Problem Still Exists!' And I ask you, what good is a combinations generator, 'designed to handle a large number of variables,' but which does not work if you have 'too many' variables (it's almost laughable). So voodoo1967, if you happen to still be receiving alerts to your posts- would you mind sharing the alternative that you went with?

Product variations number
CarriedAwayCrafts replied to empirator's topic in Configuring and using PrestaShop
I've been looking for the same thing. After a few hours of working on this, and then searching the forums, I find that the "Product Combinations Generator" has a limitation on the number of variations it can calculate (which seems to be a bit of an oxymoron to me). And the only solution that anyone seems to be able to offer is "Buy the module from Presto-Change-O"... too bad that their 'rather convenient solutions' to all the things that should work in Prestashop - but don't - are priced so far beyond the reach of small independent merchants. I've been trying to get my shop up-and-running for nearly a year now, but I keep running into neat little problems like this, ones that can only be fixed by "ponying-up a wad of moohla" < (American Slang). It's really quite heartbreaking ... knocks the wind right out of a guy... -
UPDATE: I started a new thread and a solution was provided by our friend Flaunt (thanks chum). I'm posting the link here for others who may have stumbled upon this thread in search of an answer. http://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/171952-solved-separate-line-for-tax-amount-not-showing-up-on-checkout-page/?do=findComment&comment=842268

Flaunt, It worked like a charm, my friend. Thanks for the help. I hope I can return the favor someday. Tony

Great work, my friend! I'll try this a bit later (and mark this thread as 'solved' should everything go as expected), but just wanted to take a moment out of a 'busier than usual' morning to express my gratitude. Cheers, Tony

Hi Mike, I have been checking regularly on Forge, as you suggested, at http://forge.prestashop.com/browse/PNM, but there has been no updates by the developer. I understand that he must be very busy but because it has been over a week since you spoke to him, I thought that I might check and see if you have, possibly, heard anything about his progress. Thank you, Tony

Hello, The tax line is not showing up on the check out page. The correct total is being calculated by prestashop but there is no separate line for the tax amount as required in the U.S. I was having the same problem with the cart block on the home page but was able to fix that with the solution provided > HERE< by tdr170 In Back Office > Payment > Taxes, I have "Display tax in cart:" checked "Yes" but there is still no tax line on the checkout page that shows the amount of tax. Taxes are being correctly calculated but there is no individual display of the tax amount. I am using theme prestashop_new on 1.8.4.2 and I have changed to 'force compile -YES' and 'Cache - NO' several times (have also cleared my browser cache repeatedly after making changes). I attached photos showing how the tax amount is being displayed in the cart drop-down on the main page, but how the tax line is not showing up on the check out page for the same order. I appreciate your help.

Hi, I hope this thread is still being watched. I changed the code as in tdr170's instructions above. I changed first: modules/blockcart2/blockcart2.php but that only caused the checkout block to begin showing tax (but not the summary checkout page). So I then changed modules/blockcart/blockcart.php, but the results remained the same. In Back Office > Payment > Taxes, I have "Display tax in cart:" checked "Yes" but there is still no tax line on the checkout page that shows the amount of tax. Taxes are being correctly calculated but there is no individual display of the tax amount. I am using theme prestashop_new on 1.8.4.2 and I have changed to 'force compile -YES' and 'Cache - NO' several times (have also cleared my browser cache repeatedly after making changes). Any suggestions? Thanks, Tony
