Ok this should be simple but I'm stuck. I want to change my DB user and password. I created the new user and added the user to my DB with full privledges. I go into BO and change database preferences to the new user name and password but it not longer connects to the DB. I cleared browser cache but it still gets error. I have go edit the settings.inc.php back to the old user and password to get it to work again. What is the proper procedure to change DB user? Thanks Jack

Enable the RSS feed module and add products to the Home category. The RSS feed with be www.yourdomain.com/rss Jack

It was the USPS shipping module causing the problem. Some minor changes solved it. Jack

Well it took awhile but I think it is fixed. Started out by disabling modules and narrowed it down to the new products module. By inserting debug strings, I tracked it down to the Tax class. In my attempt to test the checkout process, I changed addresses on the test account several times. Something got messed up in the address table and it couldn't determine if tax was required. I deleted all the old addresses from address table except one and it is working. Thanks Jack

Update: If I log in with an empty cart, it gets a hack attempt before displaying the blockcart. If I add an item to the cart then log in, no hack attempt. Jack

Been working on our website the past few days trying to resolve various issues and just noticed that if I log in I get a Hack Attempt. It appears to be coming from the cart module since the cart is never displayed. How do I debug this to determine where the hack attempt if coming from? Thanks Jack

Well I thought it was solved. Turns out it fails in the same way but at a different step. jack

Didn't work for me. I went back to my old paypal module from 1.2.5 and it appears to work. If I find one more problem with 1.3, I'm going back 1.2.5. Tired of wasting my time trying to get 1.3 working. Jack

You uninstalled the paypal module or the complete prestashop installation? thanks Jack

I'm beginning to think the upgrade to 1.3 is a mistake. One problem after another. Just discovered Paypal checkout is having problems. When I click on paypal checkout, I receive a security warming. It asks if I want to only deliver the content that is displayed securly. If I click yes, it goes to redirect to paypal then just hangs there. If I click no, it redirects too paypal but I get an error that my address does not match what is stored in paypal. I prefer it not check the address because some customers do not have a paypal account and need to pay by credit card. Jack

We had the same error after upgrading to 1.3. We corrected it by adding a semicolon to modules/feeder/rss.php. Search for & g t without spaces then add a semicolon. It should be & g t ; without spaces Jack

I was able to get it to work by modifying the blockcart.tpl to remove the step=1 from the checkout button forcing it to the cart first. From {l s='Check out' mod='blockcart'} To {l s='Check out' mod='blockcart'} Jack
