  1. I just downloaded the 1.6.0.1 Alpha. Very nice. I love the new front end, and the admin side is looking good too. A quick glance at the code and I see it is still xhtml, wondering when Prestashop will go to html5? Also, there are an awful lot of links to css, could this not be simplified? Within the admin side, I was disappointed to see it is still many steps until you reach a page where you can adjust quantities - this makes stock checks very painful. Another thing is, I know there is a button to show just the installed modules, but it seems a pain to make new users sift through all the disabled modules - and there are about 50 you have thrown in which are not enabled - we all know they are available on the website after all. Maybe you could add to your website an option to pay €5 for a stripped down version without all the adverts. My thoughts overall: well done to the Prestashop team. The move to bootstrap and a modern, two column default theme makes sense.
  2. Yes same here. The orders seem to have been held up during the outage, then were released. Luckily no data loss.
  3. Yes, same here. Am on 1.3.7 and haven't changed any modules for over a year. I have hundreds of orders. Orders go through Paypal but do not show up in the back office starting from today. Need a fix ASAP!
  4. @phrasespot - I made the new improvement ticket, it is PSCFI-6808 @Carolina Custom Designs - Your website is loading fast for me (I am in the UK also). I like the looks of your cart cleaner module. I need to know if it will work on 1.3 so I will send you a PM.
  5. Thanks for the warning. I will edit my above post. On my live site I just truncated statistics tables, so I am OK. Any ideas how to purge the extra carts - I have 2700 carts but only 250 orders?
  6. I was looking how to do this today, and I found it is easiest to truncate the tables that are there for carts and statistics one by one .... if you know which ones they are. This has been my experience on 1.3.7 Please backup your database first EDIT: do not truncate carts if you have any orders - it will remove the history of the items in the order.
  7. Hi - Did you ever find an answer to this? I wonder what it does to old orders. I really want to reset my ID numbers on my 1.3.7 Prestashop. Thanks David
  8. Hello- Just wondering whether XHTML 1.0 Strict is going to continue or whether there will be a shift towards HTML? It seems it is hard to make my Prestashop site pass the w3c validator and so I noticed my Wordpress sites are already on <html> Thanks David
  9. Thank you both for your replies. I am working offline to upgrade my site to 1.5, but it will take several months since my existing theme is a 1.3 theme and I have had to buy a 1.5 theme and adapt it myself. I did not know about IonExpress. I will test it offline, and if it is working it might help me get through the busy Christmas season. Thank you!
  10. I am also looking for this. I found this: unknown source, looks to be free, but after registering I cannot download: http://www.custommodule.com/prestashop/prestashop-module/prestashop-guest-checkout-module for 55,00 €: http://www.canin.sk/prestashop/presta-modules/17-one-page-checkout.html for 75,00 €: http://www.canin.sk/prestashop/presta-modules/18-one-page-checkout.html
  11. After some searching it seems as though I have two choices: 1) follow the developer guide for creating a module: http://doc.prestashop.com/display/PS15/Creating+a+PrestaShop+module 2) change to a 1.5 theme which has the modules / look and feel I need for my shop
  12. Hi - I am just trying 1.5 on a local server. Could someone please tell me how to migrate a module from 1.4 to 1.5? Specifically blocktopcart module? Many thanks in advance
  13. Hi, I also use themes from 2link / Prestaplayers If you don't want the slideshow, but you want to use "Home Text Editor" module do the following steps: 1. Remove the editorial folder from ~/themes/matrice/modules/ 2. Copy the editorial folder from ~/modules/ to ~/themes/matrice/modules/ 3. In back office, find "Home text editor" and click on Reset Hope it works for you. If you want a slideshow + custom text then best not to do these steps and add your text to: ~/themes/matrice/modules/editorial/editorial.tpl
  14. Hi, I also use the Black White theme from 2link If you don't want the slideshow, but you want to use "Home Text Editor" module do the following steps: 1. Remove the editorial folder from ~/themes/blackwhite/modules/ 2. Copy the editorial folder from ~/modules/ to ~/themes/blackwhite/modules/ 3. In back office, find "Home text editor" and click on Reset Hope it works for you
