  1. Hi there, Has anyone solved this? I have different shipping prices for different zones in the UK (e.g northern ireland, channel islands and scottish highlands). I have a module that allows me to specify different carries per zone, BUT I can only assign one zone per country. How does Presta know if the customer is say northern ireland (rather than mainland zone), when the can only select United Kingdom as the country? Is there a way of getting the customer to enter the zone in their address , so that presta knows which carrier to use (based on the address' zone)?
  2. Hi there, I need someone in th UK, so that we can speak over the phone who has extensive knowledge of PrestaShop , databases , ftp, PHP, etc with a good work ethic attitude. I am on version 1.4.2 and need to upgrade to the latest version, BUT I need a professional testing environment set up first to ensure everything works 100% first before going live. Looking forward to hearing from you. Kind regards, Patricia
  3. hi there, yes, it generated a new .htaccess file, but then i got an error on when trying to open the fo and the bo. I tried putting a blank .htaccess file (with 666 permissions) to try and get to the bo to regenerate the .htaccess file, but got internal 500 error. At the end, I got server admin to retrieve the .htaccess from a backup. I wonder how this could have been resolved , i.e. access the back office , if the .htaccess file was lost and no backup found? many thanks, patricia
  4. I'm in desperate help , as my website is down. I pressed the regenerate .htaccess file int he back office, as I was having problem with the images, and now I cannot access my front or back office. How can I access the back office so that I can regenerate another .htaccess file. Why did it go wrong in the first place? Is this common? Many thanks, Patricia
  5. Thanks so much! That did the trick, and as expected it was the eBay module , which I disabled. Here's the error: Fatal error: Class 'eBayCountrySpec' not found in /homepages/19/d375013818/htdocs/canineconcepts/prestashop1-4-2/classes/Module.php(547) : eval()'d code on line 117 Soooo.... I guess to go back to normality, I need to get rid of the eBay module. But I cannot see it in my modules screen to de-install it. Any ideas please? Many thanks for your help so far.
  6. Hi there, Yesterday I disabled the Presta eBay module, as it wasn't working properly. Now when I hit the modules tab, I cannot see any of my modules. The screen is just there with no information. Screen shot attached. Can someone help please, as I really do need to urgently access my modules and configurations. Many thanks, Patricia
  7. Hello again, No replies? When I try to back up my Presta Database through the tools menu I get the following message: An error occurred while backing up. Unable to obtain the schema of "pss_connections_page Any ideas please?
  8. Hi there, I tried to do a Database backup and got the following error message: An error occurred while backing up. Unable to obtain the schema of "pss_connections_page Can you help? Kind Regards, Patricia
  9. The attached file has all the counties it. you will need to do some messing around to get your zone ids to match up.
  10. Sorry Mike, I should have explained better. My issue was with the native one page checkout. But, when I installed the purchased 'one page checkout', the exact same problem occured. Which lead me to think that the purchased checkout module is using some of the native code. The purchased module has a number of files that are placed in the overide/classes library, one of which is customer.php. The developer of the purchased module reproduced the problem, then fixed it within the customer.php file in the overides/classes llibrary. It may be a complete conincidence that both checkouts had the exact same problem, but I thought it more likely that they share a lot of the same code, and therefore the a clue to the solution in the native chckout may be in the solution to the purchased one. Peter PS I realise that unless you can reproduce the problem, you can do very little. Just note that I had 'allow guest checkout' set to NO when using the native checkout.
  11. Hi Mike I have now actually switched to the One Page Checkout Module for sale in the addons section.. But I was consistantly reproducing the error and also found the same error on the new module. It would be worth you sending a quick email to the developer of the above module. He was able to reproduce the problem and made a fix to customer.php. (email: prestamodules at gmail.com)
  12. Hi guys, i am not sure when this stopped working properly. But when I press the 'add to cart' button on category pages, the lovely sliding of the product image is not working, and the cart summary block does not refresh. If I click the checkout, I can see that the product was added to the cart though. It all works perfectly on the product pages. Any ideas?
  13. Hi Spidermax, just wondered how you resolved this - if you did. I have a similar problem, but for me the sliding transistion does not work on the category pages - its ok on the product pages. I feel sure I have had this problem before!
  14. Mike, I have managed to reproduce the hanging checkout. http://canineconcepts.co.uk 1. add item to cart and click checkout 2. add delivery address details 3. check the box "please use other address for invoice" 4. DO NOT add any invoice address details 5. Click a payment option 6. BANG Screen hangs with spinning wheel Now, at first I thought this may have been as a result of changes to my template. But, yesterday I purchased the "One page checkout for 1.4" module and interestingly the exact same thing happened with that module. The good news is that the module support person ([email protected]) fixed the problem. The module uses an overide class customer.php and it was in here that it was fixed.
