[solved]: A Prestashop database already exists, please drop it or change the prefix.

Hello,

I can't pass step3.

I created a new db before starting the installation process. The db I created already has a prefix so the db's name is like myprefix_presta with a user named myprefix_me.
At step 3 of the installation process, I entered the info and the database is connected but when I click next I get "A Prestashop database already exists, please drop it or change the prefix"
In "PrestaShop database tables prefix:" I tried entering the myprefix_ , and then tried leaving it blank, but I still get the error message.
What should I do?

Solved: I put back the original prefix ps_ and I could move to the next step. I don't understand what this prefix is though.
