PS version - 1.3
Paypal module version - 1.6
I'm having the problem many other people also seem to be having - while in PayPal sandbox mode, payment is accepted from the sandbox personal account to business account but after returning to the shop, the customer is told that they have not placed any orders. Orders are not showing up in BO order tab. If I click on the customer, it also doesn't show that they have placed any orders
These are the solutions I've tried after trawling through the forums:
1. Checked that PayPal module and sandbox are correctly set up with sandbox business and personal accounts. Paypal is configured as instructed in PS wiki.
2. Checked that everything has the correct chmod. My validation.php shows up as a blank page which is apparently a good sign.
3. Checked that Paypal IPN has the correct URL. It appears to be working, and the IPN history shows a list of IPNs that apparently have been sent. I instruct it to resend but nothing shows up in BO still.
4. Checked that the shop isn't in maintenance mode in case Paypal can't reach it.
5. Everything listed here: http://www.presto-ch...aypal-problems.
6. Upgraded to Paypal module 2.1 beta. (I get "order creation fail" instead.)
7. Changed to Paypal API. (Also get "order creation fail".)
None of the above could solve the problem. This is all in sandbox mode and I have no real customers yet - I don't want to start this for real until the problems are sorted! Could it be a database problem that's making the orders not register?
This is really making me tear my hair out. If anyone knows what to do or can think of something else I can try please please please reply. Thanks.
(My technical knowledge is zero so please explain things in simple steps...)
PayPal and Paypal API are different, PayPal version 1.6 is the "lite" version of PayPal API, meaning PayPal server will not communicate with your PrestaShop Back Office, everything (i.e. orders, qty etc.) need to adjust it manually, design for people who have low-sales rate or use PayPal as optional payment method.
If you want sales order show up in your PrestaShop back Office you need to use PayPal API.

That is not true. I am using Paypal 1.6 and I am currently testing with the Paypal sandbox. When I make a successful payment I CAN see the orders in my back office.

Hi,
I am having the same problem. The site has been running ok for almost 1 year and I have only started having this issue now.
I'm using Prestashop Version 1.3.6.0, PayPal v1.7.1 and PayPalAPI v1.0
Did you manage to find a solution to this problem?
Thanks.
