Question before I commit to PS

Hello, there! My name is Feeby and I have been running my own small business for awhile now. I already have a website and things have been going great. So great in fact that I want to upgrade to something a lot more professional than what I have. I've chosen PrestaShop but I have a possibly complicated question first.

 

I have a self hosted WordPress site. I do not plan to integrate the two -BUT- until my PrestaShop is set up I don't want to tear down or install over an existing storefront. I need a place for my customers to go while I figure the ins and outs of PS.

 

My question being can I, easily and without much issue, install PS in a sub folder of my site (example: nekocreations.com/prestashop) until I'm done setting it up and then make it my main thing later on when I'm ready?

 

I figure I'd keep my WP as it is for now and then move it to /blog or something later on when PS is ready. This way I don't disrupt my customer flow too much.

You can totally do that. Depending on who your host is they might be willing to move them for you when the time comes also.

Oh gosh, that is great to hear! I use Hostmonster and they're pretty awesome so I'm sure they'll help me and even if they can't, so long as it's possible I can figure it out. Thank you kindly! I'm off to install this baby!
