Moved primary shop into new multishop group, users can't log in now.

I have moved my primary shop into a new shared multishop group.  Now none of my old customers can log in, the password reset says their accounts do not exist, but I still see them in BO, and I cannot move back to the default group.  How can I fix this problem?

Woooo!  That was scary!  Thought for sure I screwed it all up!  I was able to fix it by going into phpMyAdmin and updating all of my customer shop ids to the new id!  Not sure why PS doesn't change this automatically when you move people around.  

 

FYI in case anyone else does this... as it appears really easy to mess up... this was the query I used to fix it.  With "1" being the original group id it searched for and "2" being the new group id it added.

UPDATE ps_customer SET id_shop_group = replace(id_shop_group, "1", "2");
