Backup Screwed up catalogue

Recommended Posts

Product images are not stored in the database, they are stored in the file system.  So perhaps you did not take a proper file system backup?

Product Descriptions on the other hand are in the database, but I cannot imagine why they would go missing during a database backup/restore procedure.  Are you sure they are missing from the database?

Let me try and explain in detail what happened. I tried to do a product CSV import. The Product CSV import I did messed up my catalog. So I contacted Blue host to do me a full Cpanel restore. Once the restore was completed. All my Product Images, Descriptions, Short Discriptions, Meta Tags, Meta Title and product Links were missing.

How can I restore the website 100% as it was?
