Transfer Database from 1.3 to 1.6

Hi,

 

I'm trying to transfer a database (customers and products) from a shop running on 1.3.7 to a new shop running on 1.6.

 

I've looked around and can't find a way to do it easily.

 

Could you point me out a tutorial or some best practices to do so ?

As far as i am aware there are alot of different tables in the different versions of databases.

I would make a copy of the 1.3.7 shop then upgrade it to 1.6, then you can just import the upgraded database.

 

BUT...i dont think you cant just upgrade straight to 1.6, so hopefully someone else will give some more info shortly about which versions to upgrade to or another way to do it.
