abhey.thareja Posted September 24, 2014 Share Posted September 24, 2014 Hi, Once a customer selects items/ products and clicks 'place order' tab, prestashop automatically places an order and sends the respective auto-triggered email/ sms to the admin and customer, BEFORE even the customer reaches the payment gateway to pay. This in turn is leading to a lot of cancelled orders in my shop because many customers leave before completing the payment procedure, whereas the order has already been placed. Is there a way that the order placement confirmation is sent only after the payment is successfully made through the payment gateway? Please HELP! abhey.thareja Posted November 4, 2014 Author Share Posted November 4, 2014 hi @bellini13 totally lost drift of this topic (even though i am still facing this issue). Well, this module was provided by PayU team. Infact i spoke with them and was informed that the module is fine and changes need to be done in prestashop itself where it shouldn't send an order confirmation until PayU gives confirmation. bellini13 Posted November 4, 2014 Share Posted November 4, 2014 Prestashop is designed to take payment BEFORE creating an order. Bankwire and Check modules are designed to create an order, before the customer is able to pay, and that should be fairly obvious why... But real time payment methods (like paypal or credit card), an order is created AFTER the payment is completed.
