Is it possible to create different templates for CMS pages?

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I have a client who wants to build a sort of hybrid site, between pure content and e-shop. The difference is that you will not be able to purchase products just see the categories, product pages and the order tunnel with, I guess, an estimation of the prices...and a lot of content pages to introduce the company, services, interactive map of partners and store etc..In short, a standard web content site.

The problem is that prestashop is not built by default to support different page templates like in wordpress. Like if I want to put a sidebar in a specific cms page with a specific content that can be edit by my client, the sort of "default" things that you can easily do in wordpress.

I was thinking at first to build the site on wordpress but the fact that there will be a lot of products it's just not really pratical and my boss is pressuring me to do it on prestashop.

So, is there a way to build different templates for CMS pages in prestashop?

Is the bridge between wordpress and prestashop a viable solution?

thank you for your advice

Regards

ps: sorry if i made some mistakes in my spelling/grammar, english is not my main language :P

preferences > themes

you can enable /disable sidebars (columns) on pages you want

also you can define what kind of contents you want to display on selected pages, go to modules > positions

search for displayLeftColumn or displayRightColumn modules list and click on edit button near each module there,

you will see there exception filed, where you can define where you want to display module.
