Multi Store Install

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone, please help with the below.

I have 2 www addresses and want to use multi store feature.

Do I upload the PRESTASHOP folder to both domains ?

Do I set up 2 separate databases ?

Then do I www.store.com\install for both stores ?

Both shops need to be set up the same as far as install but just enable the Multi store settings ?

Thanks so much,

Troy

One shop will have all products and the 2nd will carry some of the others products.

The shop I installed the cart into works fine. The added shop I'm having trouble with.

The setting for the 2nd shop are as follows:

Is it the main URL for this shop? = YES

Enabled = YES

5 - Domain  = www.billy.com

SSL Domain  = www.billy.com

Physical URL  /

Virtual URL = blank

Final URL = http://www.billy.com/

In Cpanel

Listed in Subdomains

Subdomains .Root Domain Document Root Redirection Actions billy.tnzstudios.com homeb.gif/public_html/billy.com change.gif not redirected Manage Redirection Remove

Addon Domains

when I go to Preferences and General I can not change any of the Multi Store setting.

I can turn it to Green (ON) but after I hit save it turns back to off.

    General

Multistore
YesNo

Check / Uncheck all (If you are editing this page for several shops, some fields may be disabled. If you need to edit them, you will need to check the box for each field)

Tried to add to Parked and get the error below.

Adding Parked Domain

There was a problem creating the parked domain.

The domain “billy.com” already exists in the Apache configuration.

then you have already added this domain via cpanel.  You would need to delete it and only add it as parked to main domain.

Ok before I give up I will try 1 more time so I'm on the knees...

I got the 2nd site working by in Cpanel - addon domains - I changed the 2nd sites document root to the same as the 1st site. so both show -  public_html/troy.com.

But now every change I make to the 1 site show on the other.

I can not change the settings in Preferences , General - Multistore button will turn green but when I hit save it goes back to off. see pics.

please help, thanks

I know this is an old topic, but it appears this issue had never been solved... I am currently dealing with this same issue.
