I have been abel to load and start instaling Prestashop but i get the following error, i dont know where i can fix them. Is it on Godaddy or on my end some where. PrestaHeroes USA Posted July 21, 2014 Share Posted July 21, 2014 did you use 'goaddy' installer or did you ftp up zipped ps installation files then run install? choose a decent cloud based solution that is easy to ramp up... learn more here...and the blogger, well we do what he say do... http://blog.dh42.com/prestashop-cloud/ using something like this, you will be happily adding categories/products and when you need more resources simply click a slide bar. the simply point your url on godaddy to something that works right now and you can easily ramp up later. my two cents (shared/vps) is dead, long life the cloud Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

fairdos Posted July 21, 2014 Author Share Posted July 21, 2014 Thanks for your response. I installed prestashop by uploading the install zip with file zila and then uncompacting on godaddy. I then went to the start up page but got all them error. is there any place on godaddy where i can change the settings Never installed prestashop before and i dont know how to change setting to get it to work, i have already paied for godaddy hosting so would like to use it. PrestaHeroes USA Posted July 21, 2014 Share Posted July 21, 2014 you will need to start over but you will first need delete the files, and drop tables in created at installation. then follow the official ps guide on installation, which is different than what you did, (i.e. after you unpack (unzip) installation on your local machine, then you ftp, this typically will create proper permissions and ease installation. http://doc.prestashop.com/display/PS16/Installing+PrestaShop Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
cjrhoads Posted July 21, 2014 Share Posted July 21, 2014 After I initially installed Prestashop on the normal (proprietary-interface servers) on Go-Daddy I ran into a lot of problems. The supervisor with whom I finally got connected explained that the proprietary-interface servers don't usually do well with complex database-php applications such as Wordpress or Prestashop, and he explained that they recently introduced a new cpanel-interface server that includes an installatron function to install Prestashop. There were still a few minor problems (or course - there always are) but it worked much better than when I tried to install it myself. I kept getting a lot of error messages that GoDaddy support couldn't help with. So - are you using the cpanel servers or the proprietary servers? If you are using the typical godaddy hosting, you might want to call them and talk to them about switching you over to the cpanel servers. It doesn't cost more (actually, I got a refund for unused hosting that was higher than the cost to switch) and I can personally verify that there are many fewer problems with applications like Prestashop on the newer servers. Regards CJ Rhoads I hvae the ultamte hosting wioth the Cpanel and everthing, it dose not have PS for install like it dose OSC and Magneto, but i tryed PS on a freinds internal server and look grate much better than OSC. Wached a youtube vid and it seamed esay but not being the case as the guy did not get any error like i did. As I noted earlier, first you need to have the cpanel version of godaddy hosting, not the normal shared hosting. Prestashop does not work on normal GoDaddy hosting platform. If you have the Cpanel version of GoDaddy Hosting, there is an automated process that you use. YOU cannot manually install Prestashop following the typical directions because GoDaddy uses a different configuration, but they have set up an automated installation (that worked for me) that installed Prestashop using GoDaddy parameters. Once installed, don't try to install any updates automatically. Some work, some don't, so you have to pick and choose your updates.
