This Module lets you add a Filtering option to the category, supplier, manufacturer and search page.

You can filter by :
* Categories
* Features
* Manufacturer
* Supplier
* Price Range (which can be edited in the module configuration page).

Filter by Multiple Categories and Sub-Categories (example at http://www.presto-changeo.com/124)

Filter by Features (example at http://www.presto-changeo.com/125)

It was tested with the pagination option as well as sorting.

It requires simple changes to a few files, which are detailed in the module configuration page.

V 1.4 was just released, it includes the following:

* Filter by Attributes
* Number of matching items appears in each drop down next to the filtering option.
* Ability to hide the category, manufacturer and supplier drop down in their pages.
* Ability to add a user defined price range.

V 1.4.1 was just released, which supports Prestashop 1.1

V 1.4.2 was just released, which fixed a bug that was not allowing to submit a user defined price range search in Internet Explorer

V 1.5 was just released, which fixed a search bug in PS 1.1 and it now lets you hide options with 0 matching products

V 1.6 was just released, it includes:

* Hook the module on the Left / Right Blocks or the Center (adding a new hook).
* Easier installation.
* Drop down menus have a fixed size.

V 1.6.5 was just released, it includes:

* Code update (now runs on wamp).
* minor bug fixes.

V1.7 was just releasee, it includes:

* Much simpler installation with no core file changes, only a few .tpl files need to be changed.
* Fix for drop down options being cut off in Internet Explorer.
* Hide out of stock attributes.

V1.7.2 released, It fixes a little problem with the attributes and features filters

V1.8 released, it includes:

* Filter on New Products / Best Sellers / Specials pages.
* Bug fixes for special characters in attribute and feature names.
* IE drop-down resize fix only when needed.

V1.8.1 released, it includes:

* Bug fix for manufacturer and supplier drop-down selection (not automatically selected).
* Bug fix for price filter in PS 1.1

V1.8.2 released, it includes:

* Added option to hide / show filter in different pages.
* Bug fix for features filter.
* New fix for IE drop down option length.

V1.8.3 released, it includes support for PS 1.4

V1.8.5 released, it includes:
* Fix for filter on Manufacturer page. (PS 1.4)
* Fix for filter on search page (PS1.4)

I think it would be more usefull if you can create it to filter eg. screen size, graphic card, procesor etc.

If you manage to create that i would defenetly buy one.

I assume you mean by attributes.

How would you want to see it work, list all the possible attributes that are assigned to products in the current category?

Not by atributes but by preducts features.

As i think, best principle of work would be to hook it next to currently sort selection dropdown box just as it is currently here: http://presto-change...sl;=&pr=500-999

And to offer filtering of all that is present in that particular category.

Only thing that shud be somehow configurabile is what featuers shud appear to be filtered in different categories.
Eg. if i open category notebooks than there shud be filters like 1. screen size 2. cpu 3. vga etc.
but in monitors category we dont need eg. CPU filters but we might need filter for type of connectors like DVi or VGA etc.

You do know that for that purpose you have categories, no?

And this is filtering module, not search module!?

It's good to have filter functionality in search page as well, users would able to filter the search results / narrow down by selecting price rance or brand or sub categories etc.,

reason to have categories filter, able to filter the products by category, brand and price range

Ex: category --> accessories (laptop battery), brand-->toshiba, price range 0 to 120 USD something like that

Well all that can be achieved with smart use of categories and subcategories...
You dont need any special filter for that.

Filtering on Search page.

I have just finished working on version 1.3, it includes the option to filter by features.

When enabled, all the features from the current category / manufacturer / supplier / search will be added.

Great module, just purchased from http://www.presto-changeo.com and very pleased with it's functionality. Has great promise for future options as well.

V1.4 Works a treat, great improvements from the last version... Keep them coming.

The filter by attributes is particularly handy and the fact that it only displays attributes based on the items being displayed means this filter can work on multiple categories without blending unused attributes.
