"Notify Me When Available" does not show up for sold out products without combinations

Hi, I have enabled the option for customers to register interest for a sold out item and be notified when it is back in stock with the mail alert module.

 

However, for sold out items, the email input and button only shows for items with combinations. Please see attached photos.

 

I would need them to display for all sold out items. Didn't manage to find a thread discussing this and hope someone can point me in the right way.

It is my first fix

For me I commented this string twice at themes/default-bootstrap/js/product.js

$('#oosHook').hide();
