Linking specific modules to themes

Hi there,

 

I'm trying to display some of my portfolio on Prestashop. However, every different theme i've created uses a different set of modules which are either enabled or disabled, and which have theme-specific customization.

 

I've enabled multi-store shop so I wouldn't have to install a new Prestashop for every new theme I'm creating, however I can't seem to have specific modules for each theme yet.

 

I have tried adding modules to the /theme/customTheme/modules/ folder, but that seems to have no effect.. I'm not even sure what that folder is supposed to do? It doesn't appear to be 'overwriting' or prioritizing those modules over the /root/modules/ folder.

 

Am I missing something here, or is the solution simply installing a new prestashop each time?

 

Edit: I've also tried using the themeinstaller mod, but it seemed to fail as it didn't actually create a new theme it seemed.
