JohnADK
I got that error the first time I tried to upgrade also. It was due to incorrect database credentials entered in the config/settings.inc.php. Once I entered them correctly, this error disappeared for me.
mizuplus
I rewrite settings.inc.php than i can access shop but it was not upgrade so I try it for 20 times still same result and then I got 1.6 no idea how.... off course it stuck anyway I must rewrite settings.inc.php... NemoPS
Actually the error reads 'multiple primary keys defined'. Do you always get that one, each time you try to upgrade?

NemoPS
That's the easiest, using the auto-upgrade module. BUt you might need several trials before it works: http://nemops.com/prestashop-upgrade/

NemoPS
I have no tut about restoring it. However, make sure you enable error reporting if you get 500 (see my signature). The procedure would be to wipe out the database, restore the previous one, wipe out files and re-upload them. No other way around, the rollback won't work if you have a 500 page

NemoPS
Nothing at all really, I still use 1.5 and used 1.4 till last January In any case you should really not give up for a fatal error, you just have to enable error reporting to see more
