My store is located in New York state, so it is set to calculate taxes only for people shipping to NY. Prestashop used to work okay, but now with version 1.2.3, the taxes are no longer calculated and displayed. I follow the wiki about US taxes exactly. I can reproduce the issue with a fresh prestashop install.
What am I doing wrong here?
It appears that my store has a serious problem when it comes down to calculating state base sales taxes.
A fresh Prestashop install 1.2.4 works fine and displays US style taxes fine. My shop, running 1.2.4 refuses to calculate taxes.
If i import my database from my store to the fresh install, the taxes stop functioning too.
Something is wrong in my database, that if I import it in a sane install, taxes stops functioning. Sadly, my store was running fine but suddenly stopped functioning.
How can I troubleshoot the problem? What are my options.
This is very frustrating - my shop is live, I have customers coming in and purchasing, but I cannot sell to the store's home state.
Please help.
