Locally install Prestashop the easy way with Bitnami

Recommended Posts

What have I done? Yesterday I successfully downloaded Prestashop using Bitnami and began editing the default. Today I can't bring it up. I've tried different angles to start up, but I keep getting "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage".

I'm not a techie, so I'm sure this is an easy answer. Help, please.

I had the old version of Prestashop and I've been trying to upgrade to the new one. I just downloaded it through this tutorial and it works, but my original account is still stuck in the old version. When I open up the new version, it has a different account that doesn't have any of my original website stuff. How do I transfer all of that to the new version?

Sorry to kick up an old topic, as a new guy here...

But I really wanted to know if, when I install in this way; it is easy/possible to later transfer it to my hosting provider once the testing and everything is done....?

In other words, can I make the website on my local machine with bitnami install, and then transfer it to a hoster?

Or will this be difficult/impossible for some reason?

Thanks for your help!
