using 1.2final I get a hack attempt when doing a nonadvanced search and also when I select to not show tags, they are still shown.

Still doesnt work, I still get a hack attempt when trying a standard search, the tags are still displayed even though I have deselected them in BO. Advanced search didnt find what I searched for either.

I havent noticed tag tick, it works now.

standard search is exact copy of blocksearch module so I was testing it inserting SQL injection such as "OR 1=1"... and so on and it works for me.
I don't know what You're inserting there. Instead of hack attemp should be "Error invalid search".

searching by attribute - separator is OR (color: red or blue or black)
Search by categories - separator is OR (searches for product in the category and it's children)
Search by suppliers - separator was AND changed now to OR
Search by manufacturers - separator was AND changed now to OR
Search by tags- copy of default

separator between attributes,categories,suppliers,manufacturers is AND

=>search (color: red or blue or black) AND (categories:Ipods or Laptops) ...

can this search be implemented in the header in the form of wizard, to be multiple drop down lists:

Select Category - Select Brand - Select Subcategory - Go Search button.

If this can be put as navigation bar, i am sure it would be usefull to many of us/

Had anyone thought of that?

This is a very good module, but I notice it only works for the 1st level of category?

nope. while you click a category that has children, jquery function reveals children.
i've just tested once again and it searches in marked category and it's children.
