Howdy,

I have been using Zen for years and am getting sick of the painful process of upgrades. This cart looks great and looks easy to work with. One BIG problem is that the postage module is not Australia freindly. I see anatomy charts and oil etc large heavy things and light and long things..we sell all over the world... so it is impossible to use the postage module that is out of the box.... Anyone got any ideas... people in Oz that has Presta please lets know...

Thanks
Dave

Zen is clunky but definitely solid, I have done a few zen carts for clients and they are very satisfied. However Presta is growing in features and stability, it definitely has a future! :-)

There are two ways to do this, either using the Australia Post live shipping calculator
(search the forum for AustPost Module)

Or as I'm doing is I've entered all of the AustPost dollar figures into the Carriers / Zones / Weight Costs which gives me the same thing.

The first way requires an installed module, however it didn't really do what I needed it to. The second way is as simple as a SQL query with all the relevant information.

Check it on my site www.geocachestore.com.au (Live - No test orders!!)

With the fees they charge for using the gateway id probably only use it if a client needs to use it.

But good job :)

lol as a soon to be certified paypal developer im happy using and recommending paypal, its easy to setup and monitor and doesnt cost all that much.

Theres plenty of other modules that presta needs if you are feeling keen, a proper twitter module for starters (so you can send tweets from the office).

i wrote a basic one that uses a cron job to send random products as tweets, lol then a later one that took random users from the twitter feed to send them mentions using the products (did that to get extra SEO listings on other websites).
