A Blog module fully integrated into PrestaShop, you can view and purchase here:
http://www.bvkyazili...log-module.html
You can view a sample blog here:
http://www.bvkyazilim.com/cart/blog/
The first blog entry introducing the blog module:
http://www.bvkyazili...ing-Blog-Module
Works on Prestashop 1.3 & 1.4.
Supports tags
Multiple categories
Adding/updating multiple categories with descriptions
Adding/updating blog entries under any category
Adding an optional image along with each entry.
Comments by registered users
Integration with Facebook connect to allow facebook users to comment and anonymous commenting.
Deleting of comments in the B.O.
Supports SEO friendly URLs
RSS feed of the blog
Blog Block for the side columns that show the categories or latest entries
A calendar block on the left column that displays a small calendar with the dates with posts highlighted.
Ability to add files and links as attachments to each entry.
There is a demo site available if you want to check the BO for the blog and comparison modules. For security reasons uploading is disabled.
Front End: http://www.bvkyazilim.com/cart/demo/
Back Office: http://www.bvkyazili...cart/demo/demo/
Admin Email: demo@demo.com
Admin Password: demodemo
The demo site is reset every hour.
Note: There have been two reported cases where the url rewrite did not work for the blog module. There too many different server configurations out there that it is impossible for me to ensure that it will work in all cases. In cases where this feature does not work, you need to manually edit the blog.php file to disable url rewriting.

You are great! This module is quite amazing. I´m really interested on it but I know to know some things about it:

- It is an installation module

- Where the module is placed?

- Can the module only be installed in main page or can be redirected with CMS?

- Do you have any installation procedure document?

- It does support editor wysiwyg?

- You added this function: “Blog Block for the side columns that show the last 5 entries made”. Could a Blog Block for the side column showing categories like a wordpress blog??

- Search can be done under Blog Posts?

- What happen when you post more than 5 posts? How many posts can be viewed on Blog page? Could be displayed on different pages ( I mean, If I have 100 blog entries, Could be organized on 20 pages of 5 posts each one of them )?

- If I purchase your module and you update it, can I upgrade free?

- Unregistered users can post?

- Which specs can be configured on module?

- How could I admin posts?

- I point what "jimfk" said: Could you please post images of back office for this module?

thanks

No, no polls. Polls can be posted in the forum using the forum module:

Hi Whitelighter,
I went for the "Blog module" instead of the "forum module", I installed it with no problems within seconds, and it was simple to set up.

Good luck with the sales,

This module should be fine for most people who would like a simple easy to use blog on site,
prestashop owners, give it a go, support your local programmer :-)

Thanks for a good module.

Thanks Cerberus. You were my first customer, nice to hear that everything worked smoothly.

Hopefully there will be more purchases so I can spend time on adding more features.

Hi whitelighter,

I bought your module, installation was really good. It´s a good module but I think you could update it yet! :)

This functions would be ok:

- Edit/delete comments by admins

- Categories on right/left side instead of center column ( like wordpress )

- Subcategories

- Blog Main page "http://www.agait.com.sg/cart/blog/" a list of latest blog posts instead of a list of categories... ( like wordpress )

- Pagination defined by admin [none, 5,10,etc]

- Indexing in search function

At this moment is what I think could be done/changed, you made a great work!

Thanks for your big effort and best regards

Cerberus,

They are all in the blog folder in the modules directory. front_entry.tpl is the tpl file for individual entries displayed in the front end.

You can view the entries you made in the back office, in the main page of the module under the entries tab. I am working on displaying and deleting the comments in the backend as well. I might be able to release it sometime this week.
They are all stored in the database. ps_blog_entry and ps_blog_comments.

Love the module, was simple to install and didnt have any problems at all.

Just a couple of suggestions,

Is it possible to be able to add some kind of default opening page to be displayed above the entries on the main blog page.

Also the ability to set meta tags for each entry would be useful.

No, comments are treated as plain text.

I have made a small change to convert links in comments. They are now automatically created. But the link must start with "http://".

The updated module is in the shop now. You should be able to download and update your version if you have purchased it before.
As always, make a back up of your files before updating them.

The module is now updated to work on Prestashop 1.2, tested on 1.2.1. You only need to replace the files.

The module now comes with two set of files, one for Prestashop 1.1 and another for 1.2.
