Why do you need multiple shops? This is a very commonly reoccurring question, but I fail to see the importance... :P

What kind of answer is that?
To help people sell their goods you do not need Multishop.
I want to see my shop and one function which give possibility to sell users goods. All of users want to sell own good.
sorry, my English isn't at high level(((

yes, as in http://dhgate.com/
Prestashop was never meant to be a DIY e-bay, with multiple people selling their own stuff. As far as I can tell from the code, there is NO possibility of just creating a module to do this - it goes far far down into the foundation code of the application.

Multiple shops would be a great add-on to prestashop.
We would love to be able to run our sites off one database for the products, but run independently for customers and orders.
I guess we will have to wait and see

what does it menea this module "Multiple Shops" ? It is in "Features".
This means you have one database with products but several websites.
In the best cenario you can "tell" the products on which shop they are shown.
I would like to remind the “senior member” and the “V.I.P”
That one of the reason for many of us (including me) chose to try PrestaShop
Because of
Features
updated frequently
• Product comparison
• Advanced search
• FAQ module
• Multiple Shops <<<-------------
• Customer groups
• Printable shipping label
• 1-click purchase
• Per-item shipping cost
• Download catalog as PDF

I did see some interesting movement in actually starting to how to go about it and it is encouraging.

And may I point out that my V.I.P. status has nothing to de with PrestaShop nor with my coding-skills.
I am in no way related to PS.

Before switching over you should have spend some time on testing PS and see if MultiShop was working.
When you discoverred it was not even part of 1.x you should have waited or looked elsewhere.
Don't pick on the Dev-team that it is not ready yet.
I myself think there are serious other issues with PS that needs to be addressed first before even thinking about a MultiShop solution.

Why would the Team have to do all the work?
Are you making money using PS and if you do, did you ever donate?

not yet! most of my stores are with CRE Loaded with Multi store module and Zen Cart with multi store Module
I did create 2 shop with PS for testing

Why would the Team have to do all the work?
I thought that PS is under GNU and if I knew how to code I would have been happy to contribute

no I did not make any money PS is full of "whole" (bugs) and I believe that this will be fix.
in regards to donation I'm not a cheap person I already gave to un name member of the project to work with me and payed money for his work, and as to donation its non of your business since you already indicated that you have nothing to with PS
And may I point out that my V.I.P. status has nothing to de with PrestaShop
look I'm not looking for war of words with any one, I believe that you and I have the same goal to see PS project succeed with the best features for e-bussines and of source to benefit from it.

Thru, but to my knowledge there is only one dev-Team and other contributions coming from non-team members are modules atm.

I'm just pointing out that a lot of users of PS are shouting that they want something fixt in the code a.s.a.p because they are making money using PS but do not donate in any way to this project.
