This week we decided to highlight the “Store Locator”, a new feature included into PrestaShop v.1.4, in the tab “Tools”> “Stores”.
This new feature allows you to display your stores’ location on a Google Map. Such as, your customers know where they can go if they need, and also access to different information. The Store Locator allows you to:
- Indicate the addresses of your stores
- Indicate the opening hours
- Establish a route to the desired store
- Know the distance of different stores from an address
You don’t have to make any special settings (everything is done automatically), except to enter your stores’ information. Once completed, they are immediately visible on your shop in the “Our stores” block.
All the settings can be made from the “Tools” tab and “Stores” under-tab.
To create a new store, click ‘New’ and fill in the necessary information for customers (addresses, pictures, opening hours …) and click ‘Save’.
Your store will appear in the list and will be visible on your shop.
A final setup is possible to define how you want your stores to be displayed: in the footer or “show a simplified store locator” to see a simple description of your stores, without a map.
Your module is now fully configured!
