The Open-Source Awards is an annual online event held by Packt Publishing to distinguish excellence among Open-Source projects. This year, you can nominate PrestaShop as your favorite Open-Source E-Commerce Application!
Now in its fifth year, the Award, formerly known as the Open-Source Content Management System (CMS) Award, is designed to encourage, support, recognize and reward not only CMSes but a wider range of Open-Source projects.
The Open-Source E-Commerce Applications Award is a new category reserved for the type of web applications that simplify the buying and selling of products on the Internet. Packt will be awarding the best e-commerce application or plug-in that serves the Open-Source community with the help of a panel of industry judges and supplemented by the public vote.
It is now or never to show your support for PrestaShop! Nominate us, and support an Open-Source e-commerce software who saw its community trebling in only nine months this year, which manage more than 40,000 e-shops throughout more than 50 countries in 45 languages in the world. The last version of PrestaShop has already been downloaded more than 71,000 times!
The Awards are split up into two main stages. Firstly, nominations will begin on August 9. This is your chance to put forward PrestaShop to go through to the final stage of voting. The top five projects with the most nominations in each category will go through to the final stage of voting. The nominations will end on September 17. The five finalists in each category will be announced and voting will begin on September 27. Voting will close on November 5, with the winners announced the week commencing November 15.
